I'm wondering if cal mag can be mixed into my vegging nutrients water or if I have to do it separately into another 4L of water ?
Can I use cal mag in the same water as I have my vegging nutrients in?

PPM pen. And just mix in a bucket before using or adding to reservoir. I highly suggest a PPM and a PH pen. A decent cheap pair will keep you and plants happier. My $12 combo that functions flawlessly after a few years. Just keep them clean

I have a buddy that diagnosed calcium and magnesium deficiency in my plant based off some pictures, I will post some here so you can judge

Add a table spoon of fish emulsion to gallon of water and leave cal/mag issues behind. LOL.
That is too much water and a ph issue. Get the pens. Reduce the water inputs.

As for purity of water
If plants like a lower ppm during seedling, vegging, and flowering, does that mean I change the volume of nutrients in my water based on the stage of growth they are in?

Close. I increase PH as I get into flower. My nute PPM's are gradually increased as plant grows and tolerates more. It is a basic principle. We complicate it trying to mix and use urine of Zuess.
