Can my water be 6 inches below the net pot in RDWC?

Okay so heres my issue.
I've got two bubble buckets tubed up to a 18 gal res.
One bucket has A 10inch net pot lid and the other has a regular 4..or 6 inch net pot lid.

The amount of water is always even in my buckets. The only way to make it uneven is to raise one bucket but I cant do that either because Im scrogging. Well going to be scrogging.

So the 10inch net pot lid is 1inch from the water.
The 6inch net pot is like 5-7 inchs from the water; My bubbles go all the way to the top of the bucket either way, Would this cause any issues or slow growth?

Its usually best to have the net pot just touching the water or less then an inch away.. that's just my personal opinion, less chance of your roots drying out that way also. 6 inches away is pushing it since you loose water overtime and could cause problems if it goes unnoticed.

Spring for net pots that are the same size next time. Right now what I would do is raise the pot high enough to split the diff if possible but 6" below the pot is not going to work very well but I'm sure it will still grow just not as good as it could have.

lol it wasn't me being cheap. I made one bubble bucket into two by inserting a plastic cut out into the bucket and into the big 10in net pot so i could have two plants in veg until they show sex. (so the roots don't get tangled.) but I didn't need to on the other one.

I have two 10 inch net pots but it takes FOREVER for the fuckin roots to hit the h20.
So i wanted to speed it up by giving her a smaller shallower pot.
