Can someone please help me?

Please look at the photos and maybe you can tell me what's going on. This happened in a big hurry! Worse since this morning when I watered them with PLAIN ph'd rain water, low ppm. I water every third day, have excellent drainage, am growing in organic soil that was/is a bit hot and caused problems early on (I don't add other nutes), but now they're changing for the worse as I write this. They are a month old. The leaf edges are turning light green with what looks like burn at the tips and some spots on some of the leavesDSC03733.JPG DSC03734.JPG DSC03735.JPG DSC03737.JPG . This is my first indoor grow. Thanks for any input or questions you may have.

Thanks again! I had seen pics of various deficiencies before but you know how it is... you go through so much info and so many sites when you're first gathering knowledge to grow and then when things start to go south, you can't find exactly what you know you've already seen somewhere!! I gave them all calmag last night, so there should be improvement from here on out. I didn't think I would need to feed them that since I'm using organic soil that I prepared and added dolomite lime to according to the recipe. Weird indeed.

So, when I stick my whole finger in the soil and it seems bone dry as well as reading "dry" using 2 different moisture meters, I shouldn't water? Not sure then how to gauge it. I am not a spring chicken anymore, so lifting 10ea 5 gallon bags of dirt and weighing them just isn't feasible for me personally, so I used what I thought was common sense o_O. I do want to mention that when I said every 3 days, that sometimes isn't the case. I just go by feel. Would over watering also cause the discoloration in the leaves like in the photos? Thanks for your input, it raises yet MORE :confused:

I'm waitin to have back surgery, I hear you on the lifting. The weight not date is perfect for the young and new..... Trust your gut when you have to. I use a meter on my larger pots.

Yes, I've gone through tons of info on just as many sites, but it doesn't necessarily prepare you for an actual grow, especially when things go wrong right off the bat. I thought I had everything just perfect...Sometimes, the problem can be difficult to detect because it affects some plants and not all. I had so many seedlings die on me and I have no idea what caused it because it happened just after sprout. Some lived, some didn't, some lived a while and were doing great and then shriveled up and died while the others thrived. It's been really a strange grow so far. It's hard to know what exactly I should or shouldn't be doing to some and not others. If I've learned one thing, it's that it would have been better for me to grow one or two strains and not try so many different ones all together. Anyway, thank you again for the help and the links. You have started down the the "Endless Path." You gave it rain water ( No CA/ MG )

Thanks for that link Jypsy Dog... instant favorites on this desktop!! As for rain water, there was a method to my madness. I didn't start with rainwater, I was giving them bubbled tap water until I tested the PPMs coming out of it when my new meter arrived... they were in excess of 1200, which caused major tip burn and/or DEATH of many seedlings. Then, I started mixing the aerated tap water with my kitchen r/o water and that brought things down to a pretty good level. My problem there is that I can't generate enough r/o water (small system for drinking water and icemaker water) for so many plants, especially when they get bigger. It was fine at first when I didn't have to give them a lot.
So then I started collecting rain water, but it doesn't rain for a lot of the year here (south of the u.s.), so that was just a temporary fix.
I also have a well, as we are sitting on a bed of limestone with natural cenotes everywhere, so I tapped into that but the ppm of it is around 750 by itself, so that scared me. If I have to add nutes, that'll shoot it up too. This morning, after the feeding yesterday, they look really good with no new ugliness that I can see. My ppm's with nutes was around 700. I guess I'll just have to be conscious of calmag addition if I use any water that has been stripped of its minerals. Anyway, thanks again.
