Can you breed with fem seeds

I had some feminized skunk #1 from g13 labs I threw in my breeding tent does anyone know if they will be any good or has anyone used feminized seeds to breed with your input would be very helpful

I asked this Q a few weeks ago in chuckers paradise tread. The response I got was a plant is a plant. I have a raskel og fem im going to hit soon I will let you know in six months

Beware, the anti-fem crowd will pop in and tell you that fems are "hermi-prone" which is false... they just need to up their grow game, im getting sick and tired of hearing about hermis all the damn time. What dafuq?!!! Seems like no one can grow these days, always getting male sacs?! Their doin sumthing wrong cause it aint the fem'd beans!!!!

I don't have experience breeding but I've consumed many informations! Short and simple yes you can..i believe, and I may be wrong here, the worry with doing that is that in order to get a feminized seed you have to force a plant to herm, so I think the thought is ok I have higher tenancy to see hermie traits in the new seed and more and more so down the generations of seeds bred that way. It's kind of like a taboo dirty bad thing to do among breeders I believe.

II agree I've had two hermies ever both from the same pack of dp blueberry yes fem but I've grown so many fems without a problem and genetics are complex I don't see the science behind a seed produced with a fem having a higher likelihood of producing hermies simply because a proper feminized strain uses a female that is forced to herm not one that shows the genetic trait in its own...i think their are alot of people out there blaming breeders and seed banks for their bad growing skills

I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.... HMU i have S3s (fem of a fem of a fem) and i guarantee you wont get any hermis out of em. What you get is, pop 10 beans and get 10 almost identical plants

Ok thanks guys just wondering the skunk #1 is one of the best smelling strains iv ever come across and really wanted to see what I could do with it... I crossed it with some Bubba love from Akg and the male I got from that had the genetics of a pure bubba kush plant so I think I'm in for a treat all the other seeds iv bred have turned out absolutely amazing

You definitely can may not be the most ideal but as long as she doesn't throw nanners from mild stress she should be good as long as she is truly a special girl.

I'm sure it happens I never had a fem herm but like how Soma does I would not be surprised if some come out Hermie but his method is not very popular probably for that reason.

I believe you bro. i have a ? For you since were on the subject. Why do breeders who have regs and fems use different parents in their lines? For example CC all their regs are crossed with SFV f7 and their fems rev tahoe.

I honestly cant answer that for them, maybe each "pollen doner" performed differently?

Maybe his SFV F7 Male is a true stud and winner all the way around? Same with his rev tahoe. The tahoe might be very stable for him.

Thats bout the best i can come up with. Although a fem seed is supposed to be an exact genetic copy of its parent, if the genetics arnt stable to beguin with, there is still a possibility of some broad pheno variation. Making an S1 of a polyhybrid f1 is an example. Yes it has the same genetic makeup of mom, mom wasnt stable to beguin with so you will find plants that look like mom, but the traits of MOMs parents can also shine too

A "friend" has told me of his experiences...

When using colloidal silver it is easy to take the male pollen produced from one girl and drop it on another unrelated girl or even on a clone of the same girl forced to produce male flowers. If both of the involved girls originally came from feminized stock or not it doesn't seem to matter. They get their groove on and produce more feminized seeds.

Feminized seed production can also work using pollen produced other ways such as intentional light bleed or letting a girl go past her harvest date and getting a few male flowers to pop up. Although not every girl that is let flower past her prime will readily produce a male flower(s).

One trick to ensure lots of feminized seeds is to make sure the girl(s) that is targeted to receive the girl plant produced pollen are timed right and in the most receptive physical state to accept pollen. Lots of foreplay and telling them they are beautiful might help set the mood ,the rest is up to you. Oh good hygiene never hurt either.


A side note, some of the more learned pollen chuckers have claimed that breeding with regular seeds is better for the species, I make no commentary on that, my point above was simply that girl on girl can easily produce feminized seeds and there are several methods to do it.
