Some light shade cloth will help.Shade the pots to keep the roots cool. In ground is better.
I have a 10xx6x10 shadecloth shelter lined with plastic in which I use a swamp cooler. I can fold the plastic up to get cross ventilation. I have it dug down 18" giving me 7' height.
You're problem will be with tightness of the buds. Too hot and they're airy and dry. I've read where it also has to do with the temperature difference between night and day. Figure the best bud grows on the California coast or around 5,000' elevation. Try to create a similar microclimate.
Strain also matters. I've produced better smoke with Mexican seed than some of the other varities. I have some haze going this year that seems to be taking it nicely.
