Can you have 2 inline fans connected to each other or...?

I want to add another fan to my system. My carbon filter killed my cfm's and my temps are a little warm (82-83). I already have one 6" inline fan. Can i add another one right next to it on the same ducting?

Here was what i was thinking
carbon filter>ducting>fan>ducting>duct fan>hood>exhaust

will it still be able to pull more air or will the 1st inline fan limit the amount of air?

next option would be to hook the light up to its own ducting
so it would be intake outside tent> duct fan(8'' 400cfm duct fan or go with a 4'' inline 200cfm?)>hood>exhaust
then the carbon filter would be on its own system

Will duct fan be enough air flow to cool a 1000w? I heard they were pretty weak

last system would be to get a 4'' inline fan 200cfm pulling air from outside then connecting to the existing duct setup then hood then everything gets exhausted

What do you think?

i think the duct fan would restrict the inline, the second option will be better, the duct fans are weak but if you attach the 8 inch to the light with nothing restricting it and have the 4-6 inch inline cooling the room with a filter your temps should be ok! so have outside tent>ducting>light>ducting>duct fan>out tent.

#however 82 isnt nothing to worry about imo, seems like extra money and time for the sake of 2 degrees.

I wouldn't worry about temp until you go up above 85°F, unless your plant is showing symptoms of heat fatigue. I agree with Rob, go with option 2, the 8" in-line should do fine for the light.

IMO I think you should definitely put a sealed light on it's own duct with it's own fan, and if you can exhaust this out of your room your temps should be a little better. Also having the carbon filter on it's own duct IME has not only made my grow cooler but also made my filter more efficient at getting rid of that odor we all love so much. Those two things alone helped me to get my room within 4 degrees of my ambient temps. In my case it was a matter of having an inline that would push enough air through my hood and then out through the long exhaust run outside. My light fan is on the same time schedule as my light only I let it run for 30 minutes after lights out. YMMV but I think this will get you to where you want temp wise. Good luck and happy growing!

Carbon filters are designed to have a certain volume/s of air across them. If you move air to fast they will not be as effective. Put your carbon filter on one fan and your light on another.

thanks guys

I want to get an extra fan just incase. I also noticed that if I open the door on the tent the temp drops fast. So im def a problem with air exchange.

Do you think a 8'' duct booster will work for just the light or should i get a 4'' 200cfm inline?
