trying to cross to fem autos. I have been using collide silver and today I'm trying to start spraying another plant. Can you over do it on the treatment. I was thinking if I can spray 3-6 times a day that would make sure it get them balls. But I never heard any ill effects of using it or over using it for that matter. Any help would be great thanks

It can and will burn plants.

I've been spraying a plant and it never worked. I know I made it right.

I'm looking into silver thiosulfate.
Yeah I think the strong ear the plant the harder it is to turn. I was spraying a critical + auto and never seen balls. But I started seeing seeds. So I don't know if it hermed or fertilized itself but that wasn't the plan...either way I will try to grow the seeds out one day

I used some STS one time but isolated the plant too soon and it died.
Found the mix on other sites. You can buy the stuff on ebay and use distilled water and a pyrex measuring cup for the water.
My little digital scale measured out the chems.
Just watch you don't get the spray on anything you don't want to turn purple.

I used the second mix from IC mag below.

What you need to do is prepare a silver thiosulfate solution. This kills colloidal silver generators and we are looking for success the first time up... So, that in mind...

First, you need to get the supplies.. Purchase a small quantity of Silver nitrate and Sodium thiosulfate on ebay or somewhere.. (you are talkin like 20bucks total)

Prepare:
.1 Grams silver nitrate
.5 Grams sodium thiosulfate

First, mix .1g of silver nitrate into 100ml distilled water, stir for about 30 seconds.
Next, mix the .5 Grams Na2S2o3 into 100m distilled water, also stir for about 30sec-1 minute...

Next mix the solutions by pouring the Silver nitrate into the sodium thiosulfate solution while stirring..

After you are done stirring, add this to 1000ml of distilled water..

Voila! Spray your plants once at the beginning of bloom, with follow ups once each week until you see male flowers, this will work.. Some strains take some coaxing lol.....

Be sure to cover the base, you dont wanna feed them this hydroponically, I promise..

I like to do this before lights out so the light doesnt neutralize the solutions effectiveness, not sure its really an issue or not, but you get the idea.. Silver nitrate doesnt like light...

IC Mag

The 'updated' recipe calls for .7 grams of silver nitrate stirred into 40 ml (8.11 teaspoons) distilled water (part A). 2.6 grams of of sodium thiosulfate stirred into 160 ml of distilled water (part B). A is mixed into B to create the stock solution. The stock solution is then mixed into 800 ml of distilled water to create 1 liter.

The updated recipe worked much better - tons of male flowers but I was hoping to see little piles of pollen like male flowers normally do. I sprayed the plants twice, once right at the flip, the second spraying at the end of week 2. I'm wondering if I should have given them one more in between. I'm wondering if CS works any better or different than STS.

I found that by cutting the leafs back,i say back not off putting a large sealer bag over the top of the plant section you want to feminize, then once should be ok just give it a decent mist.I would also do it low down the plant if possible leave the bag on it for a while, then remove. You are better doing it on a part of the plant that does not get any movement from fans blowing on them,Unless you are doing the full plant then it don't matter about the bag,and cutting back of the leaf blades.I would only ever fem,a small part of the plant un-less you are thinking of starting a seed company up.The best of both world feminized seeds of the strain and also seedless smoke

You can get a two part powder which will increase shelf life to like 3 years. The liquid (even two part) go bad within a few months.

Yeah I want to look into this a lot of people are saying it works better. I don't have the idea setup so I'm not able to run my plants like a lot of people who get into breeding I would love to have a couple for grow tents but I have to be super stealth so I'm in a small closet for now and with start my grow in the garage in a wardrobe close I build during the cooler months.

I'm about to make some more cs. I think it would be best if I was using fresh stuff. I'm using 9v batts but I'm hearing different things about how long should it take...if I stack 3 batts I hear it will make it stronger

That's my plan.
The shit was pricey on amazon, I paid like 75 dollars for enough to make 3 liters of solution (but the instructions that came with it say use 500 ml water to make it more affective) which will do 45 plants or so . The directions also call for refrigerating any left over solution.

You can find it for about $20 shopping around. Look into chemical supply stores.

Does it work every time?

Yeah but this came all weighed out in individual packets and with very detailed instructions which for me was worth the extra cash even though I do have access to a professional breeder input at any time.
He uses sts but had always bought a one part spray , I told him I was considering buying just the two parts individually and mixing myself and he'd actually never thought about that :\
Now that he's charging an arm and a leg for seed I hope the company sticks around. I've run only their gear for going on 5 years now.

Forgot to answer your question, fuck if I know buddy, I've yet to force one of my plants male but that project is now underway. Just gotta find the females I wanna hit with the lucky charms mommy/daddy/
The guy at 303 swears by it instead of CS.

Have you guys ever tried this
or ga3 (gibberellic acid)View attachment 3705912
I've never selfed/forced anything myself but in researching it that product (tiresias mist) has a 4 month shelf life so I'm sure it would be easy to get a old bottle. I'd heard they weren't making that anymore but who knows. I'm thinking your best bet if you're worried about effectiveness and shelf life the two part powder is the way to go.

I bought some of that ga3 I think you have to get over 300ppm for it to make seeds.
