I made a post earlier but i got no feedback , i was just woundering if you can trim the roots if you cant transplant into a bigger pot , i herd that you can aslong as you dont trim the main root and i have a small/tall grow box but it only fits a certain size pot witch i think is 8" but just incase it get root bound could i just trim them? or is that a bad idea lol

I would say bad idea, because to do this you would have to pull the plant out, knock off most of the dirt which would pull off all the little hairs of the main/big roots. Then the growth would be slowed as it tried to grow new roots, or kill the plant because it can't feed all the parts. The only reason I would every say you should ever trim the roots is to move a plant from hydro to soil, and even then just cut a clone (unless its a plant you can't clone then you could cut the soil roots and start over in hydro.....maybe).

If you get root bound well flowering then either move to a bigger pot or suffer, if you just want to keep a mom alive then every few months start over with a fresh clone and soil

you can trim the roots, people do it alot with bonsai mothers, they use a square planter and every 6 months they trim about a half inch or more off the sides and bottom, then replant, they are shocked afterwards, but come out of it shortly after. SO YES. YOU CAN. :)

I occasionally trim the roots on my bonsai mother plants to encourage growth spurts. I have had no problems with this whatsoever.

I wouldn't worry about being rootbound though, to be honest. It takes a long time for a plant to become fully root bound, and in the earlier stages it just means that you will have to feed them more often, and new growth will slow down considerably (which can be an advantage for people growing in small spaces).

See this link for a better description.

I've got huge moms that have been going for months and they aren't root bound so don't worry about it unless you are going to flower in the pots. But if you can't go bigger then don't worry about it, if it doesn't work, it doesn't and at least you tired. Plus well the plant is growing you'll help clean the air!

The pot looks plenty big enough, perhaps too big even. Are you going to be flowering in that space, or do you have a seperate flower room?

yeah , i was thinking about flowering in it , but if it gets too big , or i change my mind i got a 7 foot tall by 4 feet wide wardrobe that i can set up perfectly for flowering

well thanks for the feedback , i think i just might take that advise lol , but another question i just thought of , kinda off topic , but itd about my soil , im using

Agro Mix PV20 - 3.8 cu ft Bale

High quality screened peat moss Perlite and vermiculite Nutrient charge, lime and wetting agent
Ph range 5.5 - 6.5 Scientifically developed Improve your performance
Professional support Consistent quality

i was just woundering is it going to be good enuff? , and when do you think i should start feeding it nutes? cuz i got a box of meracle grow powder that i mix with water , i know its probably not the best nutes to use but its just left overs from last years outdoor grow from clones , and i just dont wanna start feeding it nutes if its not ready yet and if the soil has enuff nutes already , im kinda confused , this soil is cheap it was only 25$ a bale
