Well I ordered some seeds in from europe into canada and they were opened by the CBSA!!! There is a big yellow sticker on the envelope saying it was opened (these are the border police in canada). I ordered 5 single seeds and they are totally labeled. Am I going to jail? I currently grow 2 plants and live in B.C canada. They did not take any of the seeds! Cant get straight answer about seed law! Please help me out guys.

I just cant believe they would set up anything like a sting operation for a few seeds....considering how much is grown and sold out here...but still its a little unsettling to know THEY know.

Dude, I dont know alot about canadian law, but I think that its like a rule of modern government that you are innocent until proven guilty. You might want to take some safety precautions and transport ALL incriminating evidences to another non-obvious location, like a friend of a friends' place. you would think that the seeds would just be a cause to get a warrant, if the two systems are similar. so then next step for 'them' would be to check your place of residence for fishy business.

In my opinion, and judging by Canada's stance and enforcement on marijuana seed distribution, I would soundly say that you are probably fine. In the first place, Officials are generally only going to focus their time and money on busting large grow houses, or suspected dealers. So if you ordered only a small quantity of seeds, I honestly wouldn't worry. I have read on here many times that the police will only take the time to stake you out if you are suspected of growing more than 25 plants, but that's not to say they will not bust you if they stumble upon your operation.
Best advice, just be cautious, ensure there are no light or odor leaks. If you begin to suspect you are being watched, then scrap your grow equipment and plants.

5 seeds is nothing. You can go down to commercial drive or the pot block on cambie and hastings in Vancouver and get that from stores that advertises marijuana seeds. They have packs of seeds there for sale and nobody bothers them. Walk up to the counter, pick up a menu, choose what you want and lay your money on the counter. Girl hands you imported seeds from just about any of the biggest seed banks around the world. Next time ....... BUY CANADIAN! I'd love to see the rookie cop they send to bust someone for 2 plants. LMAO!

Thanks, thats what I figured. I mean would they even put a sticker on the envelope if they intended to bust me!? My understanding is that they have to prove the seeds are viable....which is hard to do apparently...need to grow the plant.

Anyone else have any comments on this!?

I'm more worried cops will show up at my door, but I live in a small place and only have a few plants (next grow will be five). Never had probs with the law...hopefully judge will go easy.

when you order seeds always ship them to a girlfriend or another female friends house, pay with a credit card if you want to, billing information is destroyed directly after you order from seed banks. Pretty full proof method. If they search her house there is nothing :joint::peace::joint:.

Ya the prob is that I'm trying to be super stealth...only one other person knows (and the police force now apparently) so I built a very nice stealth setup. Thats why I didn't buy localy either. I wonder if they will just knock on my door in three months...wouldn't that suck.
