Hi !
Tought I would share my next grow to get some feedback/advices/whatever
I've been growing for a few years, always with EBB & Flow. Tried NFT last harvest, but wasn't really impressed. So now I'm trying DWC
I was planning to go with 3 seeds, but due to some mistakes/dumb things I've done, I only have one left. (Long story short, I was planning to go again with NFT, then changed my mind and decided to transform my NFT system into DWC. Had to move the plants, and didn't payed attention fast enough that 2 were not getting any water, so rockwhool dried too fast and plants died).
Anyway, here we go with the details :
- Tent 90x90x170 (Dark Street 90)
- Nutriculture GroTank GT205 transformed into DWC (5 gallons)
- 400W MH for Veg, 400W HPS for flowering (Phillips HPI and PIA bulbs) with CoolTube
- House&Garden Nutrients line : Hydro A/B, RootsExcel, BudXL, TopShooter, Magic Green + Golden Tree from Humbolts and Botanicare Hydroguard
- Air Pump Hailea ACO-9610 (600L/h)
- 6" net pot
- Average room temp is 21c, but can go up to 27.
- Average water temp is 20c, but can go up to 23.
Strain is Chocolope Haze from DNA Genetics, started from feminized seeds.
Plant has been in DWC for 13days, this is how she looked when it went to the DWC (This is the plant on the left that's remaining, the other 2 died).
13 days ago, there was no roots coming out from the rockwhool yet (prior to put them in the netpot), and yesterday, this how it looked (I'll try to post some photos of roots later on) :
Overview of the room :
I'm growing in some sort of basement, so my room is really depending on outside weather. Problem is that sun hit the basement directly during the afternoon, which lead me to some heats problems, but it's still kind of ok for now, until summer comes. During veg my lamp is on in the afternoon, but when going to flowering I'll make lamp on during night, so it will be cooler. I am a bit afraid of temps with DWC from what I've read, but I'll give it a try..
As of now, EC is 1.3 and PH 5.8
I'll try to update this thread as much as possible. Any comments/critics, whatever are more than welcome
