Candida CD-1 and Blueberry Photoperiods

Well that time has come for me to start my grow journal and to share with you all.

Today my seeds arrived. I have some Candida CD-1 CBD strain. The bank tossed in a free northern light seed. Not blueberry. My bad haha.

Plan on germinating tonight on some paper plates with wet paper towel.

I have one tent set up right now. 3.5 x3.5 and about 5.5 tall. The light that is in there is a 400 watt MH.

I have my seed starter kit with the dome for when they sprout. Also have a heat mat to warm the roots so they develop nicely.

This will be a organic soil grow with organic Nutes. Will be using fabric pots. Will be keeping a mother to take clones from. I prefer clones oppose to seeds. Would also like to close this post off stating that the last time I grew was in 2008 and grew Mazar.

Feel free to post in here. I want to keep board updated and what to catalogue my grow. Easiest way for me.

Seeds just popped today.

I germinated them on the 8th of January at 7pm. They have all popped a root. All 3 seeds on the 10th of January. Less than 48 hours. I am very pleased. In the dome and in the tent they go with a heat pad under them.

Well I decided to plant one CD1 and to let the other one and Northern Lights germinate a little longer. Not fond of how small their tap root is. Norther lights is barely out. So one more day in the plates. The CD1 I planted is probably going to be my mother. I think her genes are strong to pop a 1 inch tap root so quickly when the others did not.

Hey there Skoal! Glad to see someone trying high CBD, I plan to do the same thing after I stockpile some high THC jars from a few more harvests.

I was wondering about your tent, do you plan to install any ventilation fans? Or is an exhaust fan installed but just not visible? Or are your going to leave the tent sealed up, except when checking the plants?

Ventilation fan has not gone in yet. I will be installing one in the flower tent. I’m thinking about running the 400watt MH for flower and then running a led for the veg. Veg tent I intent to have a fan circulating air. But my girls haven’t sprouted yet. I have 5 gallon fabric pots on the way and a thermoter. I intend to flower 2-3. And veg maybe 2 from clone.

Heat pad and he dome cover have been working exceptional. Light just went on 30 minutes ago. Went to check my ladies and my one CD 1 has almost fully sprouted. This guy was germinated in January 8 and planted on Jan 10. So she is day 3 in soil.

The other two were planted on Jan 11. So I expect them to take a couple more days.

Was hoping for some greater growth today. When I got home from work soil was pretty dry. Gave it a good misting. Probably give it some more later before I go to bed. Didn’t get as much growth today as I wanted. Two of the plants haven’t popped out of the soil. And the one that popped hasn’t grown anymore. Damn I’m impatient.

After having some heat issues. Soil drying way to fast and some other issues. The seedling is now officially on her way. She was just watered very lightly and don’t intend to water her for 1-2 days depending on how moist the soil is. Just some miracle grow potting soil. Promix coming in a few days with worm castings and perlite.

I lost the only Northern Lights and lost one Candida. But this one has taken off. 400 watt metal halide is very high in the tent. Almost to the top. Have a fan running. And have a nice temperature at daytime with the tent open at 25C.
