Canna Oil help?!

I have 2 ounces of "powder" and I would like to know, when making cannabis oil, will powder material take less time to cook than regular shake material?

This is my 2st attempt at oil and I was also wondering how long is the recommended cooking time for oil? I wanna get it right.

well when I made my oil.. I ran into only one issue using powdered like bud... (straining it... is a pain in the ass) If you are going to make oil.. read my thread about the reefer peanut butter cups (see the part where I talk about baking the weed before you do the oil) VERY successful at this


If using 2 oz of weed cook it in the mason jar like I did for about 1-2 hours let is come to a boil several times in a double boiler..

how are you making the oil? What type of oil?
