Cannabis Vine Mutation

Has anyone ever seen this before? Grows like a vine. White Widow autoflower, the seed was a few years old and I planted it just to see what would happen. The other two plants turned out beautifully but this mutation is something else. The trichome production is insane since the surface area is so much more with this vine stuff. From what I've read, it's ruderalis genes must have come through and it was a little stressed with overwatering at the beginning. Once I LST the plant, this mutation burst out. But, nothing my 2 other girls didn't come through. How would y'all harvest this? Just go ice bath hash method? Disclosure, this is only my second grow ever so be kind lol. Oh, the tall one in the pictures is autoflower Aghan Skunk. All the rest are WW's.

Hi Friend! I can only find 2 pictures of something like this happening on the internet, and they're the same 2 pictures every website uses to show the vine mutation. It is truly unique I think.

Looks like a creeper pheno found in some sativa strains south indian be one of em so my guess is its from those genes plus the ruderalis

I read that as well. Supposedly, what they crossed to make WW (South American strain?) has a very small likelihood to exhibit this pheno. They saw it in the '90's but didn't think it was important, so didn't pursue.

Ww was South indian they say but with flower times in mind im sure the south Indian used was actually a hybrid not pure the other half was a Brazilian strain again if you think about it Brazilian strains aint lightning fast either so yeah and im sure the old supersativaseedclub messed around with a creeper strain way back for reference too

That also makes sense because this creeper vine stuff is way behind the other two. Most of the trichomes are still clear, and the new growth continues to spit out white hairs. I believe this is week 11 or 12. Do my other girls look ready? They don't have many amber trichomes but I've read that WW can present that way even when ready.

Ive only grew the original way back no auto or from another seedbank i had one that was 7 foot and very sativa that was a 12 to 13 weeker but the rest of the phenos were faster like 9 weeks mostly maybe 10 at a push that was a rarer pheno the 12 weeker if widow was straight south indian x Brazilian then imo you would see way longer flowering phenos i never have and i never came across any creeper types myself from widow i looked sssc still sells creeper hybrids on a side note but they dont sell it pure they breed with it now only looks like

Thanks for info. That aligns with what my WW's are doing. One of them will be put in darkness for 2 days today. It's almost ready. The other one doesn't have a single red pistil yet and they were planted at the same time. So, the AF WW's that I have are really all over the place. They also look quite different. The creeper definitely but the other two, I couldn't identify they were the same plant if I didn't know. Seems like more refinement is needed as too many rare phenos keep coming out.

I had a blackberry gum cross lemon haze autoflower that did a very similar thing. Ended up throwing craaaazy foxtails up the top, and looked pretty much like that ww. Literally an inch inbetween each calyx. The leaves also had zero petioles.

Was told it was a runoff mutation from sativa genetics. I'll see if I have a pic still.

Yep, you can see it in the background of this GDP shot, albeit blurry.

Well any ww made with the original will taste bittersweet piney almost minty but not and will hit hard like a hammer to the head still to this day its one of the most potent strains ive encountered and i have a huge tolerance its not down to the thc content clearly cos theres plenty strains that test consistently higher yet dont hit the same way when you smoke it just a shame the original lines are so hard to come by now and ime so many so called ww these days just isnt its probably my fave strain and i love so many
