i have 2 plants in a greenhouse with all windows and doors open to protect them from the rain but everyday i am removing loads of bud rot. i have inspected the rot with tweezers and cannot find any worms or anything.

WHAT THE fcuk IS CAUSING IT???
the rot looks identical to that caused by worms or catapillars

they are still showing some clear trichs so i dont want to harvest these early




please please help me as the plants could easily yeild 6+ ozs each and i dont want to lose anymore :cry:

what is the humidity inside your greenhouse? if your humidity is too high, this will cause bud rot, which sucks. there are several remedies for high humidity. one being a dehumidifier. if you can get a hold of some silica gel, that also works. there are a lot of ways to remedy your problem. i found some dehumidifiers on ebay for like 50 or 60 bucks.

Bud rot once started spreads fast.I had to take my White Widow earlier then I wanted due to bud rot starting..I'd take them now if your finding alot daily..

dont know what the humidity is but its fairly cold bout 14 degrees or lower through the day. i have every window and door open.............looks like i am going to have to harvest much too early :(


bud rot and bladdy mold arghhhh :p

well if it's been raining for a few days, it's safe to say the humidity is pretty high. how are you circulating the air inside that greenhouse? stagnant air + high humidity = bud rot.

and by 14 degrees, i'm assuming you mean celsius, right?

yep, 14 degrees C and lower. its foggy today i wasnt using anything to circulate the air as i had the doors open. i did have a fan but i thought it might spread the mold......looks like i am in a no win situation :?

Am I missing something? Put plants in greenhouse, seal greenhouse, buy dehumidifier, purchase $5.00 temp/Hum guage, hang on wall, adjust and run dehumidifier as needed to reach perfect conditions, install fan to circulate. This should help get the rot in check.

Also if you have never used one, the dehumidifier will produce WARM dry air as a bi-product, humidity and temp all in one. :joint:

Yeah, you need to have a fan in there deffently constantly blowing on your plant. Not only will it thicken up your stems, but it will also help stop budrot.

Humidity is most likely your problem.

Whats the mold look like, is it like white webby in the middle of the bud, where the budrot is?

True bud rot Fungus Botrytis
This is the most common variety of fungus found on cannabis plants. It is also called gray mold, gray blight or Botrytis blight. It begins its life as a white powder-like growth, which eventually turns gray as it spreads.

i am going to make a decision today on what to do. the greenhouse is very small and i cannot fit a dehumidifier in there. i am also worried that the mold will be spread by one. i will look at the trichs again and decide............................might have a J first :D

after much thought i have bought a midi dehumidifier and a small electric oil rad to make it warmer for my babies. i should know bu morning weather it is working, i will report back :blsmoke:
