Can't Remember to Plug in Pumps

Everything so far has been going ok fungus and root rot wise but I seam to have developed a habit of not turning the pumps on for my ez cloners after I check them.

I got clocked in the head in Afghanistan so now I have trouble remembering stuff like this. Now my neighbor has a sump pump and when it goes out an alarm sounds, something like this would be perfect. When the pumps are off an alarm sounds and when the pumps are on its quiet.

I tried to remember to plug in a stereo and then i tried itunes on my phone but that didnt go well. Does anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish the above?

Thanks

Yes I do... and I promise if you do exactly what I tell you. It will work every time.. Right before you go to turn the knob on your grow room door to Walk out!!!! BEND OVER AND PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!!! Lol.. Im just giving you a hard time.. On a more serious note write a checklist of things that must be done everyday when you enter your room.. Hang it at eye level on the inside of your grow room door.. that way you will notice it before you walk out of the room

I'll try a hanging note but a noise will work better while stoned, i've been doing this for 3 years but not with an ezcloner, they are new.... once i get the cycle down ill remember

Pumps ahould be on 24-7..
Noobs:wall:
I think he is referring to turning the pump off when he removes the top of the cloner. Not many people leave an aero cloner running with the top off, it creates a bit of a mess.

I would make a check list and hang it by the cloner if it keeps happening. It seems simple but even a sign saying something like "turn the damn pump on" hanging there can help to jog your memory as well until it becomes process.

I hear ya, I like to use a slip and slide covered in vegetable oil to move plants from the veg to flower area. One good kick and the slide across the room. Gotta use fresh oil though in case the roots suck it up. Made that mistake once and let me tell you, nobody wants weed that taste like corn dogs and onion rings.

Timer is best. Or tie a piece of string from the pump to your foot, and if you forget to plug it in when you leave the room you can't leave until you plug the pump back in. jk have fun!

I know the pain, it is almost heart attack style when you open the tent and all the clones are done... and you don't have any mommas that makes it a disaster.

15 minutes should be fine, I use that and it gives me plenty of time to dip my face in there for a lookie every once in a while. A lot of people say the pumps should always be on but I get some long ass roots within a week doing this.

I concur with the timer idea (even a stove timer would work). That, or what I do is leave my power cord in front of the tent, so that when I'm done cleanup, the cord is on the floor way out of place. Makes it easily visible that something isn't right.

Kevin, I'm sorry to hear the head injury you suffered has affected your memory. Our losses in Afghanistan, and I include trauma such as you endured a loss, outweigh our achievements there, sadly. The whole episode is a damn shame, but I thank you for serving.

Get a timer, as you've already been advised. Best wishes, bro.

I use a timer set for an hour on every 4hrs. If its on when I wanna check it out I just turn the timer so it shuts off. when im done I turn it back to an on time but if I were to forget, no biggie. it will turn on in 4 hrs or so on its own.

if you dont use a timer you can end up getting the water too hot anyway depending on the pump your using and kill your clones. the water can easily get like a hundred degrees.

Maby you can have a door that locks from the other side of the grow room, and lock it when you go in and the key to get out to smoke more weed is on your EZ. Idk lol.. come up with anything solid?

Ill ponder this todY
