Carbon filter inside or outside of sealed room?

Should the filters be inside or outside of a sealed room? I would think inside but if I’m in and out the room while working will the smell escape?

Inside, you need to sort out the smell leaking out it's part of the fun, I've got a 5" fan/filter to mop up anything escaping with a speed controller to keep down the noise .
Every filter:fan combo I’ve seen has the air exhausting out the room. With the fans not exhausted will the filters mess with terpenes on the plants?

Sorry, you want the carbon filter inside the room but the fan venting it to outside the of the room.

I can't say with absolute certainty but I'd stake money that a pre filter cannot affect anything in the tent other than the filter itself, a pre filter is worth getting to save the carbon filter. .

you can have carbon fliters outside the room, especially if its a small room. Just have the fan blowing into the fan and exaust coming out of the roominto the fan
i dont think method works as well as fan sucking though filter but some people say it works alright for a small setup where 20cm by 20cm carbon filter takes up a lot of room
i wouldnt put the filter above the light incase you grow a tall lanky plant

No i dont. My room will be sealed. I want to make sure there is absolutely no smell escaping while im not working in there. I know some will when i have to go in and out. So that why i need to know if the filters should go in the room or outside the room and do filters even work if they’re being exhausted somewhere. If the filters are inside the room and they’re not being exhausted will they still scrub the air?

I've not used a sealed room, I thought it be the same but now I think about it's clearly not?

I'm thinking if I had a sealed room I'd have no need for a carbon filter inside it, a filter is only required for venting it to outside for smell reasons, you would be scrubbing the same air over and over? .

I would have a small fan/filter outside the door to mop up any smell escaping when you're going in/out.
