Carbon filter Question!

I just got my carbon filter and dam is it big and heavy. i have a 720 CFM inline fan in mytent pulling all the heat out of my 2x600 watt hoods. Now the question is my exhaust is only breezing out hot smelly air. Will the warm exhaust ruin the filter or will i need to get another fan to push through the heat?

the filter should be at the end of the line, filter, lights, exhaust fan.

Uhm I didnt quite understand that. I know its at the end of the line, Intake>Lights>Inline Fan>5 ft duct>Carbon Filter

But when I put my hand to the filter I dont feel any draft or air. IS THAT COOL?

Okay , I see . Im using a grow tent though wouldnt the intake being inside push hot air on the lights? should I just keep the filter at the end of the line or just try it out?
