Carbon filter. Refinished floors

Just had our hardwood floors refinished and the smell from that has deminished but the output from my carbon filter reeks of it. Is the filter messed up after ingesting all those fumes? Have no idea where else I would ask this. Anyone?
 
It will definitely suck up some of those VOCs, no idea if you need to dump the carbon afterwards...You could always direct vent the exhaust outside if it still works but you were worried about the chemicals.
 
I'd be ready to swap it out. I used to install and more often resurface hardwood floors. If your smelling the finish through the filtered output, then I'd say its saturated. It could dissipate or hinder its efficiency.
For myself smells in check is number one.
