carbon filter

when do you need to start using carbon filter, my friend has a 70x70x180 grow tent he only ever dose one plant, there is next to no smell from grow, as he smokes in house, so with in reason what size of tent and how many plants before one needed, i know someone is going to say depends on strain, i mean just rough guess or estimate

1 depends on the plant if odor is a concern

B. I use a fan and filter from day one on low to keep air exchange happening and turn it up as I notice any smell.

I agree day 1 start using it. Some phenos will stink the whole house up 4 weeks into veg from seed

If you don't care about the odor, you don't need a carbon filter. But you do need air circulation 24/7 from day 1.

I know u said we were gonna say it depends on strain but it does. A lot.

Some strains/phenotypes produce so little smell you won’t know it’s in the same room as you. Not common but do exist.

Some make your clothes stink if you’ve spent 5 mins near them.

There are only 3 ways to be caught. Someone tells, someone sees it, someone smells it. For me eliminating smells is a priority. Bear in mind you can smell something you can’t see and smell can travel far!

Mine runs 24/7 start to finish & I don't care about the smell.

have a friend that doesn't smoke come by and ask them what they smell.. I was considering doing away with the filters and just running the in lines for circulation.. I also smoke cannabis in my house, I was telling my wife, all I smell is what we smoke, may as well not use the filter..

we had her brother come over and we chose not to smoke before to limit the smell for test purposes.. he said he could smell it before he knocked on our door with the filters running..
