Carbon Question

Hey rollitup users, I´m new here and have read quite a bit on this forum and
found it very fun and usable.
Now for my quest:

I´m planning to build a carbon filter and after quite a long hunt for searching
activated carbon down I found 1 store (petstore) that has it in my country.
They have 2 kinds,

Chemical Filtration Activated Carbon 285g

&
MatrixCarbon™ 250ml (I suspect this is a liquid)


Which one should I go for?

Which ever is cheaper, they both would probably work the same.
