In this grow I will be growing Barneys farm Critical Cure 8% CBD 6% THC and Royal Queen
Northern Lights.

Barneys CBD Critical Cure
Indica/Sativa: Indica
Genetics: Critical Kush x CBD Mother
Yield: 500 gr/m2
Plant Height: 70 -80 cm
Flowering Time: 55-60 Days
Harvest: End of September
THC: 5.5%
CBD: 8%

Royal Queen Northern Lights Auto
Height: 90-120 cm
Effect: Physical and relaxant
T.H.C. Content: Medium-High
Genetic background: Northern light x autoflowering strains
Flowering time: Autoflowering
Yield: 90-200 grams a plant
Harvest month: 9-10 weeks after sprouting

Setup
Roots Organic amended with Perlite and Dolomite. Seeds Started on 4/5/14
3 gallon smart pots
GH Floronova Nutes.
Great White Mycos
GH Rapid Start
150 watts hps plus 100 watts 6500k cfl side lighting.
Declorinated tap water. I'm using this so I don't run into cal/mag issues with Roots Organic.

I'm determined to not over water and over fert this time. I think I will only need to nute when I get to bloom in about 10-15 days from now. I'm going with Less is More approach this time. I'm also going to make sure I don't drop my light on my plant this time :)

Estimated nute schedule.
14 days rapid start and great white
Week 3 1/4 bloom
week 4 1/4 bloom
week 5 1/2 bloom
Week 6 1/2 bloom plus great white
Week 8 1/2 bloom or flush

I'd love to see some pics. I started my Critical Cure about 10 days after yours with CFLs, wondering how much end plant mass I'm losing by under-lighting early on. I'm also looking into using a different starting soil, I've just used fox farm's ocean forest throughout. First auto flower grow for me, probably going to switch back to photoperiod for the next round.

be advised that the Critical cure is not auto as advertised by some seed banks. She is a real beauty. I'll post some pics of Northern lights and critical cure started same day. I just put critical cure under 12/12 yesterday.

I vegged these for three weeks under 100w of 6500 cfl's then put them under 150w hps + 100w 6500 cfl.

Would love to see yours also. shoot me a pic if you can.

Nice to see other breeders finally getting into CBD-rich strains.

Do you need to pheno hunt to find your CBD winner? Any info on the variations of the CBD:THC ratios among the phenos?
I'm not sure. I just popped one seed. When I pop the others I guess I'll know how the different phenos are. I also just purchased blue shark cbd seeds which is supposed to be good. I'll let them mature quite a while before I harvest. It'd be nice to be able to test them for levels, but it's about $160 bucks so not really worth it.

I like to smoke cbd strains because I get the body high without the racing thoughts. I did try a cbd edible (tootsie roll) and it had absolutely no effect on me.

I sampled some cannatonic buds. It was pleasant. I also just purchased some cannatonic honey oil (c02 oil). Haven't tried it yet.

All is well. Northern lights auto is filling in nicely and CBD is taking it's time to flower. Running 12/12 for the past two weeks. Not really enough room in tent as I didn't anticipate plants getting so bushy. Next time i'll likely use smaller 2 gallon pots or redesign my tent.
Been giving 3/4 bloom nutes with a little bit of veg nutes. Cal/mag. great white.. Added layer of sand to deal with stupid gnats.

Nothern lights coming up on seven weeks old.

I've found my critical cure seeds do indeed auto flower
Wow, crazy..I spoke to Barney himself and he told me they didn't. If they do, that's great. Mine did not. Is it from Barneys? My critical cure is looking good. Really beginning to form some nice buds. I have blue Shark CBD seedling going. Only 1 week old. I'll see what she does..

They are showing signs of sex but I suppose they haven't started fully budding yet. What a cluster fuck I've got going now with other autos in the same room.

Exxxacttllly... I had to flip my whole room to 12/12... The good thing is that my auto NL is budding just fine. Probably giving up some weight, but still looks good. I can send you a pic of the buds if you like..

That explains a lot, many thanks! I'll have to switch my room in a couple of weeks now. Would love to see pics of the progress.

Northern Lights Auto. Flowering under 12/12 150 w hps + 100 w cfl. End of Week 7 From Seed.. Maturing quickly. Seeing orange pistils. I attribute the nice even top to LST the main branch for just a few days in week 3.

It took a leap of faith to put her under 12/12, but so far so good..

Those hairs look very long and whispy. Is that a sign you're going to get airy buds? (Sry nub here). Or when they retract / start to mature will it fill out and get much denser?

I'm not sure.. I know I could use more light. 250-400 watts hps would be way better. I just haven't decided and committed to a light yet. My first plant that I just harvested was some freaky strain. the buds were a little airy and the smoke is harsh and doesn't get me high. I still consider it a sucess though since it looks and smells like pot :)

These guys are still filling in though. I'll see if the NL puts on more weight and tightens up in the next 2 weeks. She's an auto though and I'm sure 12/12 isn't the best for her, but I had to do what I had to do..

I'll give a full report on the buds in 2 weeks. Check back with me.

Just an update.. I harvested RQS Northern Lights Auto. Ok yield I guess. I don't have a sale. I already used up around 1/4 oz and have another bag of popcorn and trim..

Here is Barneys Farm Critical Cure. She is 52 days into flower. I'll harvest in about two weeks I believe.
