check my pic out
https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-pics/index.php?n=1086

i think that people who havnt used the high output cfls like the envirolights i use...
dont realise that they do have some serious for their size and price...
and get well hot too...

i use a 125watt blue spec for veg, i vegged about 12 plants with this..in top compartment of wardrobe..
the whole thing is sealed in on the 6 sides by mylar and its seriously bright in that relatively small space.

if you check out the rest of the pics i recently uploaded in my gallery ull see the results,

ok granted, results not as superd as a 1000w mh for veg and a 2000w hps for bloom...but fuck it i have no intention to work my ass just to pay the electricity bill and have to deal with heuggeeeee fans for ventilation and have a potential ticking firebomb in my little wardrobe grow....:blsmoke:

Envirolights can burn for sure. And CFLs (42 watt) can burn also.. BUT.......

A cfl will do very very little damage and it is ok to get a small burn now and again if it means keeping the lights as close as possible... Even at 1/8 of an inch a (42 watt) cfl will not burn your plant..

Russ, your plant looks good.. yet your burn is especially sad since it is on NEW growth. That is the one place you definitley do not want to burn... Your plant will recover fine..

cheers

yeah thats why i am pissed abt it, right on the fricking top, and thats my best plant, it's stayed healthy the whole time while my other 3 have all suffered 3 different tragedies.. im jsut trying to make it through this first grow with someone to stave me off while i do it again! while i am at it, sicne i dont know if any are fem, its okay to clone clips from a plant durign the flowering stage? because based on my other plants this one is resistant to harm.. except for the burn now right on here pretty tip  and i wanna clone her

you might have a slightly slower response time while waiting for the cutting to quit flowering and start growing again, but it should work fine.
i kept having some grow up into lights as well, just raise the light up about 1/2" or so a day, depending on how quickly the plant is trying to eat the lights..
i've grown under 2x40w fixtures (clones/seeds/low veg) and 100w fluorex (HIF) both will burn plants when there's contact between leaf and bulb. any amount of space between seems to be sufficient to keep from burning em. if you can get a fan gently moving them it helps too.
good luck!

Don't worry the burn is not that bad.. The leaf will recover.. Your leaves look pretty DARN good..

Once your a seasoned grower, a burn like that will not even phase you..
