Hey everyone,
This is not my first grow but it is my first indoor grow. Cost was a bit of a factor so it is a little rigged but so far so good. This is whats up...
Strains: Super lemon haze, roadrunner (autoflowering)
Soil: FF Ocean Forest
Nutes: Tiger bloom, Big bloom
havent used wither yet...
Lights: (all are actual watts)
105w 6500k cfl 6900 lumens
55w 2700 k cfl 3600 lumens
2 42w 2700k cfl 2700 lumens each
15w 6500k T8 tube 700 lumens
15w 2700k T8 tube 940 lumens
Growbox: 2Wx2Lx3H
2 7inch exahaust fans
2 7 inch intake fans
2x4 frame covered with poly150 rmatte plus 3 foam insulation board (very lightweight).
Techniques i will be using include LST and possibly fimming for the SLH.
Roadrunner wil be left to do its thing.
I planted the seeds directly into the FFOF soil against some advice. They are thriving. Some people have said that the soil is too hot for seedlings but i havent seen any type of nute burn and growth has been fairly fast.
The autoflowering roadrunner sprouted about 3 days faster than the SLH which i had kinda expected considering the SLH is a sativa dominant hybrid 60/40.
I decided to go with the Rmatte board due to the fact it is lightweight and easy to cut to any shape or size, i used one sheet for my entire box and it was only like 9 bucks at home depot. Another reason i decided to go with this product is because one side already has a reflective surface. i believe it is a sort of aluminum foil but it is way different than the foil you buy at your grocer. i doubt it will cause hot spots or anything like that due to the face being very smooth and i have yet to have any kind of problems with it.
Heat was an issue before i put the second set of fans in, temps were running in the high 80's with lights on... i solved this problem for the most part with the extra 2 fans and leaving the door propped open when i can.
I guess the fact that its insulation should have clued me in on heat issues before i built it...
Even with a couple quirks i am happy with the setup i have... its small but not a micro grow. its quiet and efficient as well as bright as fuck when the door is off haha!!
Well...i hope everyone enjoys watching my plants grow. if anyone has any advice or input feel free to let me know. i will try to post pics as the plants go through their stages.
first pic is Roadrunner, second is Super Lemon Haze both are two weeks old from seed today!! .... forgot to upload pics haha
