If I were to grow an auto flowering plant such as lowryder 2 on CFL's which type would I use throughout the process? I know the 6500k are for the veg stage but lowryder begins its flowering right from the seed so I'm not sure.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Use the one with the most wattage, you won't see any difference among Fluorescent lights.

I used a 125w 6500k cfl for about 21 days untill sex was shown and switched it over to a 125w 2700k for the duration i had 4 auto ak47 plants and harvested a little over 5 oz just keep the light within 3 inches from the canopy and provide plenty of side lighting with smaller wattage cfls!!!

For all the autoflowers myself and a few people I know have grown its ok to use a 2700k bulb the whole way through, the worst you'll suffer is a bit of stretch (which isnt that much of a problem for dwarf plants). But if you have the money and time why not experiment for yourself man? Theres no absolute right and wrong way to grow, take what basics and concepts you learn here and adapt it to your own style. Enjoy your growing and welcome aboard!

I've grown autos 3 times, all white dwarf. Each time I started with mainly 6500k light and went to 2700 for flower. The only difference was that I let the flowering change the light instead of the light change start the flowering. I'm sure the plants won't drop over and die either way, but I can't see what would be different about autoflowers that would make them not prefer bluer, springtime light for veg like other plants.
