I've got a reflector and 2-way Y-splitter that holds 2 CFL bulbs. This means I can either place one bulb over the main cola of my plant while the other bulb is off to the side getting totally wasted, OR I can put both bulbs over the side leaves/branches while the main cola is in the middle getting no direct light.
Which is the better option in terms of what the plant needs to grow?
I don't have a fancy grow box or any of that. I do have some gooseneck LED lights to provide additional (weak) light to the side buds that I'm using in addition to the CFLs. My setup looks like this:
Not really asking about ways to optimize my setup in terms of reflectivity or other aspects. Just curious about whether the single CFL would be better positioned over the main center cola or if 2 CFLs over the side branches would be more beneficial to the plant's development. Any sources/references you could provide would be great too. I can't find much about this topic.
