so i want to build a clonebox.
i would use CFL's for my flowerbox but they dont compare toa 400W HPS

anyways i want to use high wattage cfl's for a clonebox. i was thinkin of getting (2) 125W CFL's (14" long) at 6400K for veg/clones. how many watts do i need for each sq.ft or number of plants/clones for cfl's? i need to know the basic # of lumen's/watts of CFL's keep in mind per number of clones or per sq. ft or whatever. can anyone please help me i cant find this info anywhere?

anyone have a CFL clonebox? how many clones can you fit and how many CFL's and watts u use? and what spectrum?

please and thanks a lot!:bigjoint:

Clones don't require much light... so maybe 10-25 actual watts per sq ft. CFL bulbs over 65 watts generally are lower efficiency(under 60 lm/W). While even a 13 watt CFL is nearly 70 lm/W. 23-26W CFLs are the most affordable and serve the purpose of veg/cloning, and even flowering nicely.

6500k, Daylight labeled is what you're looking for.
