cfl question

how close should my 26 watt 6500k cfl bulbs be to my plant for optimum growth? is there a such thing as too close? i mean as long as it isnt touching the bulb? i have a 3 week old seedling(link in my sig) and i think it might have gotten heat stress from having the bulb too close

i would say about an inch or two away from the top

i had my 40w 4100k less than an inch away for most of my grow (after about 2 weeks of seedling status) and i have no problems

As long as u don't see any singeing on the leaves ur good 2 inches away tops for sure. An inch and a half is good after the first week or 2
