CFL Question?

i have bought 10 20w cfl's that are pumping out 1220lm each so that 10x1220= 12220 lm would that be good for veg stage of 5 plants?

It will work if that's what your asking as far as good well more is always better man but they don't need as much light to veg but may stretch a bit so keep those lights close

i am im stoned atm and on a diy phase and im building a 1ft/1ft board backed with mylar with 10x batton fittings and 2x 18w aquaria tubes on and gonna keep it about 3 inch from the plants may be a bit ov over kill bit bigger is always better xD

Check to be sure that they are the correct spectrum, but that should be enough for 5 small/medium sized plants. If you are starting from seed you won't need that many at first, probably won't even need them all right away with clones. What's your setup look like?

there 2,700k and the 2 aqueria ones are 5,000k i think hahaha

and nah there about a 2 weeks old tomorrow

That setup should definitely work for you, might want to grab a couple of 6500k bulbs to mix up with the 2700k ones if you can, should help keep them a bit shorter/bushier during veg.

The 2700k may make em stretch a little more than if they were 65ks so if it were me I would try and put some more 65k bulbs in place of some of your 27ks untill flower time then get some more lights for flowering 5 lovely ladies

im beeing cheap at the moment and there in a wardrobe that 2ft/1ft 7ft tall the wardrobe is only backed with cheap ass tin foil i know its poo but im hoping the lights make up for the tin foil

and for my flowering wardrobe its 4ft/3ft mylar in and im waiting on a 400hps light and a carbon system

im hoping to just rip all the tin stuff out once the babys go into the flower room and just use flat white paint would use mylar but the looks i got of the ppl in B&Q where like i know what your upto so i kinda just got it and ran hahahah

How big are you planning to veg the plants? If they start to get too big for your veg area you could always move them into the flower section and veg them under the 400w for a bit before throwing them into flower. Sounds like you've put a good bit of thought into everything so far. I would recommend just going with flat white paint instead of the tin foil though, heard that it can lead to hot spots in your closet.

You could always buy some emergency blankets they are like 3 or 4 bucks at wal mart and its close to mylar very reflective as well as cheap and if you get strange looks well your at wal mart there are a lot of strange lookers their lol. Just playing

erm well i havent really thought about that ive been looking on RIU extensive database for info and im thinking maybe 4/5 weeks then into flower but i was thinking of doing a clone of each to find out if there males of females and then murdering the males before they get to my ladies

i have put alot of thought into this grow as i done a previous grow and had a slight problem with burning the crop to death and melting all the wiring and plugs in the wardrobe hahaha i was stoned and found a seed in my baggy and thought id set up a grow while stoned but im a semi trained electrician now so i know where and how i went wrong

Yeah if you can then take a cutting from each plant before you put them into flower so you can just sex them using the cuttings. I'd also recommend trying to get your own rotational style thing going on if you can run both veg and flower simultaneously. Just take another cutting from each female a week before starting flowering then you can veg the clones and have new plants ready when the first ones finish flowering. Do this each round and you'll never be more than 8-10 weeks from harvest.

thats what i was thinking of doing so ive always got a supply of dope and if the police do ever decide to come round for tea with a court invite to my tea party i wont get arrested for commercial use i only want it for me
