cfl spotlight contaption? is this bad?

ok i have a seedling in need of more light. i was wondering if it would be a bad idea to use a potato stick can, that has a very refelctive inside, to focus the light to the plant. its lik a pringles can

would that be teribly bad? has anyone tried it?

hmm... what light do you have? why not just closer (2-4 inches) and get more, with higher wattage / correct color temps.

Instead of adding the box, just keep the reflector a few inches away from the plant, and keep a fan blowing to keep the bulb cool.
Or buy more lights. another thing that works to instead of that box use tin cans.
