CFLs and vedge

so i herd that every day CFLs are pretty good for the vedge process how true is that how well do they work?

Decently well. If High Pressure Sodium and Metal Halide is not in the budget CFL is the way to go. Buds will be a little more fluffy but not too bad. Remember to look the actual wattage not the equivalent wattage. You want somewhere around 80-100 W per foot square ideally.

i think cfls are great for short plants im in the process of harvesting now so check out my grow 20 bulb cfl !!

I prefer the 6500k CFL's over MH, they responded better so I'm going with them in the future. Simply put CFL's rule for vegging.

If you're staying UNDER 250 watts of actual power go with CFL. There are high-output CFLs at 200w that will pump 23,000 lumens, which is more than an Agrosun Gold MH at 250w which does 20,000 lumens.

MaxLite 5000K 200w - get one and a white reflector. Or go with a T5HO system.

Try to find GE Daylight 26watt (actual) 105 watt(incandescent equivalent). They're cheap and do wonders in groups. I'd say you want around 25-50w of ideally reflected CFL, double it for poorly reflected or not reflected or not shared(like between two plants or training). I think the best way would be to do a little LST around a tomato cage(make it grow just on the outside the rings) and hang bulbs down the middle with a 4 cola topped plant, and 1 cola per 90-degree section.

Now to create a light mover to get more lights revolving around it!!! Start my own little plant solar system.
