Changing soil medium to hydroponic ,,can it be done?

I like to know
I have 4 plants in soil that are 4 weeks in veg and i like to know if i can switch it to hydroponic? can it be done ?

Good question,i recently saw a video on youtube where some guy took plants started in soil & switched over to a full hydro grow,he removed all the dirt & wrapped the roots in a wet paper towel then put them in the baskets.

Looked like it worked for him,if i see the vid again ill post it but i do know that it was under hydro on youtube or veoh.com.
