Hey all. I'm curently flowering Four Humboldt girls and a Fruity Pebbles lady in a small indoor grow room I built in my basement. This is a smaller trial run I'm doing with five of my outdoor plants I held back to grow down there. If all goes well, I plan to buy many more lamps and fill the room with clones for my next cycle. This is my first time ever using LEDs and I apparently hadnt quite done my due diligence before deciding to use them instead of the 1000w HPS lamps(with Hortilux bulbs) that I'm familiar with. In fact, the only reason I ended up on here to eventually post this little trial run is bc I came on here last week seeking advice from experienced LED growers to find out why my plants were stressing under my new KingLEDs.
ANYWAYS... They got me all lined out now. The plants are good and are a little over two weeks into flowering. If you'd like to see the thread I'm talking ab, its HERE.
Genetics are
Humboldt Blue Dream
Humboldt Black D.O.G.
Humboldt Pineapple Skunk
Humboldt Three Blue Kings
Black Skull Fruity Pebbles
The soil Im using is a base soil of Roots Organic, FoxFarm Ocean Forrest, and a bag of Light Warrior.
Ab a month before starting my seeds, I recomposted all that soil with more worm castings, blood meal, bone meal, azomite, epsom salt, dolomite lime, fruit bat guano, seabird guano, kelp meal and a few other things. I basically made my own little version of "Super Soil". Its what I use for my outdoor crop every year and its what I had ready to go for these ladies. I love soil growing. Ive done hydro. Its cool. Its faster... I like soil.
The room they're in now is 8'x12' with almost 7' ceilings. I waited till the rain season was well underway so I could see if the basement leaks. It doesn't. Its all concrete and block, so I basically built a room inside a room. New floor joists, new wall studs, 3/4" Flooring and the whole room is covered in Panda Film. I'm pulling airthrough a 6' inline duct fan from a spare store room above it, through the duct in the room. I control my temps and humidity by controlling the temps and humidity in that room.
I'm using two 1200w KingLed Plus grow lamps for this flower cycle. KingLED greatly exaggerate the footprint of these lights. I will be relying on each light to cover a 3.5'x4.5' area. Plenty of room for my five little ladies. From what I have read, they're not the absolute best LED out there, but they are very inexpensive are still fantastic at flowering cannabis. We'll see.
I will be taking new pics tomorrow.
