weed has been in my family for generations, my grandfather, and dad both grew weed, and the knowledge has been left with me which I feel I must share, firstly there are many fancy products, and many people who think or may actually know best, but the thing you should remember is that in the uk we used to have wild hemp, everywhere, so with that I am going to share what I know.
bare with me before you judge.
soil, goodmans grow bag £1
very large pot with drainage holes £1
water retaining crystals £1
pineapple chunk auto £15
small stones washed (find these)
verve fizzy ferts tablets £3.99
7100 lumen blue cfl £9.99
6 900 lumen red cfl £6
7 plug in light sockets £35
4 way socket £1
emergency blanket £1
grow space free.
seaweed extract £5

its easy enough to get these bits, not too hard to put them together and follow instructions, I have been doing this with lst, I have had great resaults and I have never been down about a crop ;-)

looooooool, just because I am a noob to the site does not mean I am a noob to growing, I am new to growing with cfl's, but I have had more than enough experience with a 600w hps light, grow tent, ballast, carbon filter, ocean soil mix, bio bizz, seaweed extract, time, patience, once topped, lst'd and supper cropped every time combining sea of green. assumption is the mother of all fu+k ups, trust me I have a bit of experience under my belt

Calm down now... what are you trying to accomplish? And if you have 600 watt lighting, why the hell you looking into a cfl grow? Thats like getting off your motorcycle and riding your bike the rest of the damn way.

You wait an just over an hour and believe you must be right because no one is disputing what you've said.
How much could you possible know about lighting if you're describing what you have exclusively in lumens? A term and measurement completely meaningless to a plant? Would you call your HPS a "24,000 lumen hps?". No.
You were JUST asking about setting up this exact grow room YESTERDAY, and the next day, you're such an expert that you're willing to be the authority on how to construct, and use it?
I'm not an expert, but I don't pretend to be so I can feel cool.
It's one thing if someone comes to you and asks how YOU do it, but to tell others to do it this way, when you yourself just asked for advice in CFL growing is completely absurd.
And if your experience lies in growing with an HPS and so on, why not dispense advice on that? But the bottom line is, if you yourself, not 24 hours ago had to ASK people on this forum about something, then turn around and dispense advice on it like you're an old hand at it is ridiculous dude.
Educate yourself before deciding your an expert who's qualified to dispense advice to OTHER newbies.
And if your soil is running £1, then it seems like it's crap...
I'm not even going to go into the rest of it man... Just... please don't go misleading new growers like that, because even to a new hand like myself can see, your grow room list is very noobish.

Essentially i'm pointing at what you said and saying "THIS HERE!"
He is. It's sad when people have to pretend they're better at something then they are so that they 'feel cool' in front of strangers.

The thing that gets me is... his claim that "his family has been growing for generations" or wtf ever, and how he feels the "need to pass on his knowledge"
It's LITERALLY the "knowledge" given to him the day prior. There's no information here that he didn't get from the thread the day prior.
I'm all for people wanting to be helpful but... seriously...???

This kid is just pitchin' in thr knowledge passed down through the genetations (a thread yesterday)..
This kid has hash oil running through his veins.. his first words as a baby we're cannabis indica.. he remembers long nights sitting around the fire with family rolling up joints... expert knowledge with shared around that fireplace.
his last name was herbsmen but they changed it legally to stay low key.
