Check out this mutant.

The other plant is to show that time and environment are not a factor. They both came out of the same package and were planted about three weeks ago. They were freebies so I don't mind. It doesn't cost anything to let it grow and maybe it will make some X-Men type weed.

That is definately a mutant. I guess if you got the space let it grow. Won't hurt right? I've had mutant seedlings before. Took like a month to get normal. But, it didn't look as bad as that.

Yes, even seeds from the same run can be variants. I think that's just normal and par for the course. Better breeders like Dinafem are very stable in my experience.

I like CFL during the seedling stage. Don't need much light, no sense in wasting electric when you don't need to. But, no. I don't even use CFL for side lightning anymore. You know this. I described in an earlier post these things to you. If you don't have heat issues I would lean toward HPS and LED for side lighting. Theory is, if you use both, more spectrums are used.

Now, seeing some journals using DIY COB,s, I would like to try those. I've pretty much tried CFL, HPS, LED and an induction thing. I wonder if those COB's are the future? I'm just growing some fruit trees right now, so I will wait until a manufacturer comes out with a COB so I don't have to DIY. What do you use?

Mutation happens when you fuck with genetics.

Stick with the classics!

:joint:
Mutation happens naturally, and either way the type of "fucking with genetics" that growers do is just crossbreeding..not like most growers have the resources to do actual gene work. And anyone who half knows what they're doing when breeding can stabilize a strain so that there is little to no mutation.
That looks like environmental factors did that. Looks like a plant that started to flower then went back to veg.
