Hi all..

for my next grow i have set my eye on this strain from greenhouse seeds (Chemdog).
I am planning to grow it in LST/SCROG. I love hybrid strains like cheese, diesel etc etc.
This one seems to be a crossbreed between sour diesel and og kush.

Has anyone grown this? Is it worth growing? Any other tips?

cheers

Most people have nothing but negative things to say about ghs in here.
I too have been curious about the chemdawg but so far the only strain that everyone seems to like from them is super lemon haze.

If you do try them do a journal and keep me posted.
I dont like the douche nozzle that owns ghs but i am curious to see what u get.

I have tried GHS and while I never really had an issue with hermies, I did find that they don't grow with the same vigor as other breeders and the end product was average. SLH seems to be one of the better strains that they offer. I would select another breeder doing the chem.

Dont bother with it. It is not even the real chem. It is just a cross they did and called it chemdog.
Total BS forum lies. The blind leading the blind man.

GHS has the 91 cut...for a long time. Let see what Chem Dog says about it.

"Chem Dog: Thirteen seeds. Started two in ’91. One was a male. I was 17. Foolishly, I threw it away. The other came out identical to what I got from Joe and P in Deer Creek Indiana, summer Tour 1991. I did not get the beans there. I got one sack of the Dog Bud and thank god I did what I did. One became the original 91 cut. One became the Sister. I believe it was 2005, which was then Chem Dog D, which is still out there and very popular. Without the Chem Dog, there’d be no Sour. He will agree with that. From what I remember Joe telling me, he said some people called it Dog, some called it Chem. Either way people it’s d-o-g, not d-a-w-g. Brett from Apothecary Seeds, he bred the 91 cut and called that Chem Dawg. Could be wrong. ARJAN OF GREENHOUSE GOT THE 91 CUT and he spelled it the right way, so he gets props for that."

So i guess GHS is off the question.. i have grown for 3 years now with clones, i want to try a seed grow for once.
However i don't like "white" strains, i like hybrid strains or sativa dominant strains. I have grown Cheese, OG Kush, NYC Diesel, Amnesia Haze.

Now i want to grow something new.. something i havent grown before, and something exclusive with a fancy pricetag on the end-product haha.. anyone any suggestions?

I think everybody knows the story bud. But you left out the part that says Chem dawg is one of the parents of sour diesel and og kush. http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Sour_Diesel/Medical_Seeds_Co/
http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/OG_Kush/Humboldt_Seed_Organisation/
Both show Chem dawg as the parent. Not sour diesel and og being the parents. This is basic stuff found everywhere. But if you wanna believe the marketing and buy the bunk arse seeds then go ahead. Not my money.

Sorry bub. I'll look up Jj-nyc lineage chart and post that up if it'll make you feel better? But I guess he is full of it too?
When people refer to it as Chem or dawg, it is referring to the growing technique

I'll take 'em. Certainly never had a problem finding keepers in JJ's gear over here. My white dawgs were dank as fuck, and I've smoked several bomb-as-fuck stardawg and tres og cuts.

I wouldnt grow greenhouse beans if they were free, and if I wanted a feminized chem cross I would grow Dinachem or even any of the tCC Chem strains before GHS. I have seen one good cut of Super Lemon Haze and every other greenhouse grow I have seen in person or sampled has been shit, especially compared to most independent breeders working today.

@COGrown I wouldn't buy GHS either...but he does have the real chem 91.

The farm has several grows of super stardawg ect...and a lot didn't come out but average at best...go check em out.

And I agree w you on dinachem it was way better than and of the stardawgs & crosses.

Funny how that comes up every time in threads about GHS, that they suck balls but the SLH is somehow an exception.

It's bland crap too, even in their own coffeeshop. Unstable strain means automatically there is more variation, so what, some people found a good pheno... that's kind of what happens when you cross strains, breeder's job is to make that pheno reproducible, not to share what is essentially still just that breeding stock in which good phenos can be found.

So... how many of the people who think SLH is good think or say so because someone else said that in a previous discussion. Stop parroting that nonsense, it's the same sheeparrot mentality that allows GHS to exist in the first place ("baaa GHS sucks, bah baaah but I might grow SLH cause I hear good things about it, baaa-aah-aa... Polly wants a cracker!")
