Chernobyl + PBB -- Journal

Top o the morning!

I wanted to start a journal for these seeds. Right now, I have two @BobBitchen Chernobyl fems, and two FAB MC tester regs.

FAB MC = Fuji Apple Cookie x Blueberry Muffin. I've only grown one so far, and it was AMAZING, matter o fact I think I have a pic of it:

Kicking myself for not keeping a cut of this one. It smelled like "blueberry catpiss" after curing.

What I'm hoping for is one male + one female, and this might force my hand to do a seed run. Chernobyl x FAB sounds rad, and I wonder what FAB will do if it's F2'd.

OK so here we are now:

Chernobyls are up, FABs are about one week behind.

Welp, one of the FAB MC seeds damped off, first time in a long time I've messed up a seed. Oh well. Dropped a GG4 x Blueberry Muffin to replace it, part of the same chucking run with BBM male pollen.

Thanks man! I like to think i pick some interesting things to grow, lol!

Right now, the two Chernobyls look really nice. I have one in flower that's expressing variegation. These look great, and are growing at a better rate than most of my seedlings.

Kinda hoping the GG cross comes out female so I can see what it does. The FAB would be cool if it comes out male, it might force my hand to chuck some pollen.

Looks like I might be getting minor chlorosis on another Chernobyl seedling:

The other one looks almost perfect:

Little bit of "mag striping" but nothing serious. It'll recover when I stop skipping waterings.

Finally got a fourth seedling up:

So the testers for this run will be one FAB MC, and one GG4xBBM

Well, shit

Pops just called & he has two PBB clones waiting for me. I might trade him for the testers or just toss the testers, and try again later. We just had our PBB cut tested for HLVD and it's clean, so I'd be stupid not to re-run that one.

This kinda sucks because this journal was based on poppin testers. Sorry, guys

It's a nice dilemma to have. Could you solve it with another tent and light? We have a bargain thread :lol:

Plant limits, so unfortunately no. Technically I'm 2-over with these testers, taking in two clones would put me four-over and my wife would certainly catch that and kill me :lol:

Sweet, Pops' clones looked really nice so now we're all set. At least I don't have to sex anything but still bummed to delay growing the BBM testers yet again. This will be a really nice run, though.

This is the second Chernobyl I've grown that has really weird leaves, and this one is a lil extra weird

Here's both of the two I have, one is very normal, both have mag-striping but that's my cheap coco, I ain't worried about that

I think i should save a cut off the nicer one.

Normally i would, but I'm trying to move away from the weirdos mostly because they often have abysmal yields, and I ain't got time for low yielders :wall:

See, this is why i typically don't do journals. . .. the journal title isn't even accurate anymore :lol:

i now have ONE Chernobyl, and no testers. LOL. Oh well.
*Edit* The journal title is accurate as of his point* sorry, I'm an indecisive idiot

I'll definitely be keeping a cut of this Chernobyl.

I'll definitely be keeping a cut of this Chernobyl.

This last time I did a journal for each strain in the same tent. About 2 weeks in I realized it probably just irritates people when I update both with the res fill notes and they are just identical. It did make me focus on getting specific pics for each plant so I could try to make them different from each other even though they were basically the same.

Plants are looking good!!!

For sure. I also felt an obligation to keep the Cinderella Purple separate since they were testers.

I'm strongly considering reversing one of these and hitting the other one with the pollen. I recently read some info about how doing so can/may likely open up a bunch of shitty recessive traits, whereas in my head I was considering it as a best way to preserve this cut in seed form. I still wana do fem seeds of SOMETHING, maybe I'll reverse one of these and let it also pollinate the Chernobyl? --i dunno.
