HI I am in need for advice on my grow room. My room is not wide enough in my opinion.

The dimensions are 1.7 ft x 11 ft x 8.7 ft.

Do you recommend I use scrog to make sure they do not grow out and rather grow straight to rectify the narrow width?

I really need you guys to help me figure out Ceramic Metal Halide. I want to use this light to grow 6-8 plants for the whole grow. Do you recommend 1 400 watt CMH for 6-8 plants or would this only be enough for 6 plants for all stages of growth? I cannot figure out which ballast I should use with the CMH but I hear a magnetic ballast will work just not with Philips but then the question remains which brand is good for a magnetic ballast? I do not need a magnetic ballast just a good CHM with fantastic watt ratio to plant with a ballast that will do a great job from beginning to finish with 6-8 plants? Any suggestions?

I want to use CMH for the whole grow, I hear good things. Regular MH and HPS are very expensive.

If need be I will use 1 400 watt MH and 1 400 watt HPS for 6-8 plants 1 for veg and 1 for flowering but even then I do not know if this is enough light, any thoughts?

What is the best lighting setup for these dimensions? How can I use CHM to the fullest in this situation?

The info on this site says Philips MasterColor CMH Retro White bulbs 400w plus 600w hps under a air cooled hood is the best but in my space is this possible? And forgive me I am new and have never used an air cooled hood or a ballast so please tell me where to get this online? I can ask someone to help me install it but with the width problem is it possible?
