Choosing a carbon filter and fan setup

So the research i have done tells me i need to clear my room 2-5 times a minute to keep smells down and good air circulation. My total grow space will be 10'x3'x7' which is 210 cubic feet, divide that by 2 and i get 105CFM to cycle the room on the quicker end of the scale.

Can anyone recommend a fan and filter combo?

I am thinking about going with this:
Hurricane 6" 435 CFM Fan + Phresh 400 Carbon Filter Package
http://growershouse.com/hurricane-6-435-cfm-inline-fan-phresh-carbon-filter-combo-package

This should be way overkill for the area i need to scrub, right? I want to go with something a little bigger incase i out grow my current setup and want to expand AND i also want to be able to run the motor around half power or less to save on power and especially noise.

Can i run this unit at 50% or less power to reduce noise since i only need about 100CFM of filtering?

Why would you divide by 2? Wouldn't you want to clear the room 2x per minute vs. 1/2 per minute?

Sounds like the fan would work but always oversize the filter and grab the phresh 550cfm 6" one.

Just opinion, you don't need to clear the room that much. Once every five minutes is what Rosenthal's Grower's Handbook recommends. So for a 210cfm space to clear every five minutes, you would need a 42cfm fan.

Here's the least expensive combo I found on amazon, that will do >5x what you need.

I would go to a hydro store and work with the advice they gave. Those guys know what works best in your area. Just opinion.

Have fun.

Thanks for the input guys. I think my main question now is can i run a bigger fan/filter setup at 1/2 or 1/4 power to cut back on noise?

Also, how loud are these fans exactly? Currently looking at a 380CFM inline blower, what does the noise output compare to? I have a power venter on my house for the oil burner which i can usually hear in the living room when it kicks on and is running, is it going to be as loud as that or are there almost silent alternatives?

Yes.
Big carbon filter, medium-size fan, fan speed controller. MUCH LESS NOISE! (sorry for yelling these fans are loud)

How do these parts look for my setup? I would be planning on running the fan at 50% to 25% power to cut back the noise. Should i run it 24/7 or put it on a timer? Don't think i will have any humidity issues as long as its running a good amount of the time but i can also invest in a temp/moisture controller to run the fan if that makes the most sense.

I have a 6" 347cfm Vortex fan tied to a 6" x 24" filter for scrubbing in a 6x8x9 room and it works very well with no speed controller needed. It is 1/2 the sound level of my little 4" fan tied to a 4" x 18" filter I use for emergency exhaust.

What do you guys think about this fan?

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-FV-20NLF1-WhisperLine-In-Line-6-Inch/dp/B000EDUIX2

It is a little more money, and less CFM (only 240CFM but that is still overkill for my needs).

The big difference is the sound output between this and the can fan i found above. This fan is rated at 1.4 'sones' and the can fan is rated at 12 'sones' QUITE A BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

I should be able to run this fan 24/7 without any noise issues, i just need to make sure it works with a controller incase i need to dial back the CFM since my tent is only 10x3x7ft.

Is there any harm in scrubbing the air with a 240CFM when i really only need a 50CFM for my tent?
