Chop Advise

Hi. Finally at the chopping point. I have 4 plants ready to chop and 5 about 2 weeks out. I only have one tent right now.

Any advice how to handle this dilema?
 
What’s the dilemma? Sounds to me like you chop what’s ready and wait on the rest. I don’t see the issue unless you are unprepared and don’t have a place to dry. In that case several weeks ago would have been a good time to ask, just do the best you can with what you have.

I had a plan. I just received 6 female clones from a friend. 1st time with photos. The 6 photos are in the drying tent now.

What would you have advised several weeks ago? :)

In that case move the photos out of the drying tent and dry your harvest. The clones will survive outside of a tent for a while. I own a tent still in the box, never used one ever.

Lmao. I agree. I'm a planner as well. The photos put a damper on my plans. My tents are in a basement. My basement is finished and controlled to a 61%RH. Temps are cool. I'm seriously concerned about the light schedule. 18 on 6 off, I could manage.

If your basement temps are 61f that’s perfect, just find a dark corner and hang the plants to dry as you would in a tent.
 
Just look into perpetual harvesting, that's what your doing on a micro scale. Chop what you need and hang them in a cool dark place until the stems are snappy and not bendy then trim and smoke.

Drying and Curing Cannabis
  1. Trim away excess leaves and large stems after harvesting.
  2. Hang buds upside down in a dry, cool, and dark place with good airflow.
  3. Maintain temperature (60-70°F) and humidity (50-60%) for 7-14 days until stems snap instead of bending.
  4. Trim away remaining leaves and transfer buds to an airtight container.
  5. Open and let air into the container(s) weekly or so for the first couple weeks to prevent any possible mold or moisture imbalances.

After stage 4 you can start smoking too, the step 5 is just to prevent mold or uneven moisture in closed containers while still retaining some level of moisture.
