Chosing a led for Two Plantes with a hydrophonic

Hello,

I want to buy a Led for 2 plants, i will use Hydrophonic. I wish to spend about 170 200 220 dolar something like that. There are some examples i found but i cant compare them there is a huge diference in price between brands in same watt. Do you tell me how can i compare them and which one is ideal for me. İ dont want to buy a led that broke quickly and i dont want to buy a led that work for nothing. in some sites they say they gather about 300 350gr weed i, want to gather like that. at least 250 300 gr. İ will use a cabin like 150 180 or smaller if it effects light efficiency.

Why are you choosing LED instead of T5HO or HID? Those inexpensive Amazon/eBay lights aren't worth the money. You end up having to run them at 50-70 watts per square foot in flower. Or, if you run them at their specified coverage (usually they are sold as covering 35w/sq ft) you'll get airy buds.

Neither case is bad. But, for the same money you could buy T5HO and run it at 40w/sq ft in a shorter space, or a CMH at 35w/sq ft in a taller space. You'll run cooler and have a fixture which is serviceable using commodity parts. It's a lifetime investment. You could sell it on Craigslist, etc.

And, if heat/efficiency isn't a concern, you could run MH/HPS at the watts you'd have to run the inexpensive epiwhatever lights at.

So, it doesn't really stack up to me. They'll grow. If you're ok with less-than-trophy buds (for your own meds) they're not bad. Or, if you just want to run HPS watts and don't care about how it's done, then they get the job done. But, honestly, they're disposable. So, to me that seems like the question (if you want a longer-term light you can use or sell).

However, if efficiency (reduced heat, lower electric bills) is important, then you have to spend 2-3x more on more legitimate(?) LEDs. Area-51, Tasty, Johnson, growgreenled, pacific.

So if i am going to use Led Lights, should i use ligt with higher watt or a better quality brand?

What charms me about are the talks of "efficincey" " full spectrum(and i dont know about plants, wave frequency that is needed for this optimal effect" )

I am thinking to use a small normal fan just to simulate a little air serqulation.

It depends on your goals, priorities, budget (how you weigh the cost).

If you're looking at LED for efficiency, then you'll either need to spend more money for the type of lights (brands) I mentioned (or build your own COB light). Or, use T5HO for shorter spaces, CMH for taller.

If efficiency (low electricty, reduced heat) are not why you're looking at LED -- then I ask the question a second time: why are you looking at LED?

You can run LED at the wattage similer to HPS. But, you might as well just buy HPS.

If you're just growing for your personal needs and you don't care about airy buds, you can use the inexpensive epi-whatever LEDs you're looking at (without running so many that you're using HPS-like wattage).

So, there are a few ways to approach it. It all depends on your goals, priorities, budget. If you're looking at LED it is assumed your goal is to reduce electric cost and/or heat. If that's not the case, then I think you're better off without LED. You'll have a serviceable fixture, not a disposable light. Something you can sell on Craigslist 5 years from now.

From what I understood you want the gpw and more!??
Did you already grew weed with hps?
I choose cob light...cree cxb3590 3500ºk 36V CD @1400mA (50w) because it is too easy to grow under those...a good soil bag...organic amendments and tap water (molasses1/w) and llet's go for gpw and more...!
I paid more but with 200w over a 3.5x3.5x4.5 I saved a lot of electricity and I get very good results!

1 of 5 plants in 3gl...no topping just bend pinch and train and pinch...lol!

how many of those led lights "cxb3590" should i need ? 4 of them is equal to 200w right?

Depend on your needs...
If you pay electricity a lot...then use it at max spread...or not...!
