Chrystal (from Nirvana) Crossed with Bagseed

hi all. well this is my first grow journal. lets see how this goes. comments, tips, concerns and questions all welcome. this strain is a cross between chrystal (from nirvana) crossed with a random bagseed i had. currently i have one in its 8th week of flower but going to let it go for another week or two so i can flush it real good. i have a couple seedlings going on right now. one sprouted already and am hoping for this next crop to be better than the one i'm growing right now.

here is the one that's flowering right now. it's coming out ok, the only thing is that i'm not so satisfied with is the amount of trichomes. i'm hoping for my next batch to be more chrystaly.

I was considering doing something like this, As I am only really getting femmed seeds and wanted to get some more seeds to put away.
Was interested in seeing how strains crossed with bag seed whether it would be worth while or perhaps collodial silver would be a better option..
Hope it works out for you anyway, I'm assuming you put a male plant with a female chrystal,
how many seeds did she produce?

hi mjfish. hope all is well. my decision to cross with a bagseed came about when i found out that bagseeds are high yielders. don't know if that's 100% true but i wanted to give it a try. so i did it and the yield looks bigger on this plant, but i'm not getting as much chrystals. we'll see how it smokes though. Yes, i did put a male plant next to the chrystal. wish i had pics of that. it produced a whole bunch of seeds. i got the seeds in a little stash storage container. i'll put up pics of it when i get home.

well here are the seeds. not a whole lot left, there are at least 30 in there. that jar was about two layers full of seeds from two polinated chrystal plants. i gave most of them away to friends.

Update!!!
So far only one seed has sprouted. i'm hoping for the others to come out soon. i've been keeping the zip lock bags moist but still nothing. i'll give it another week. the one that has sprouted is going strong. it grew a new set of leaves pretty quickly after i transplanted it into soil.



the one i'm flowering will be in it's 9th week on monday the 30th. i've been flushing it since the start of week 8. i'll probably chop it down on friday the 3rd of june. i'll post pictures of the whole chopping, clipping, drying procedure that i do. got one question though, i don't know why my leaves are folding/bending down the way they are. could it be mg deficiency? what could i do about it? or is it just to late in flowering and should just leave it the way it is? thanks in advance!

how was the bagseed? i mean did you ever get to smoke some of the cheeba? lol sorry for so manyt questions, i am contemplatly crossing a bagseed myself i just love it with my ak-47 lol

im not sure why u would WANT a strain crossed with a unkown strain.??? now its called nirvan crystal X unkown..lol?

i got the seed from a good batch of swagg/stress/dirt weed that i had acquired. when i smoked it, it was really good and i've been told that bagseeds are high yielders. so i said "what the heck lets give this a try". now my cross looks definitely bigger than the regular chystal i got from nirvana. now lets hope this one has great flavor too. don't worry about the many questions, i have fun answering them . you should cross your ak-47, you'll have tons of fun lol.

what do you mean you're not sure why? the question should be why not. you never know what genetics will adapt to your plant, you might hit the jackpot with some super dang, super crystallized flavorful bud.

hmm....i think i may if it ends up being a male, the bagseed came from some very very dank unknown chronic lol, but the seed stinks like the dankes of the dankest, better then my ak-47 in 2nd week of floweringlol, so some breeding may be in the future...muhahaha

you definitely should. looking forward to it as well

lol, if i can i will, cuz both the dank bagseed strains have alot of things i like about the both of them, so maybe i will get 1 female and 1 male o.o that would be some nice shit to get from em lol. Hows da grow going my friend?

it's going ok. i'm a little worried about the seeds because only one has sprouted after about almost 2 weeks. i'll probably give it another week or so to see what happens. if nothing happens, i'll stick with the one that did sprout and get some clones from a dispensary. the flowering plant looks good. i'll be chopping that down on friday. it's on its 9th week already, so i'll be chopping it down close to its 10th week. i'll have pictures of that the following day.

hello everyone! well i decided not to chop my plants down i'll be leaving them up until this next friday. it keeps developing more and more crystals every day so i'm going to leave it a little while longer. i'm sorry to say that only one seed sprouted and it's on its second week today. i was thinking of getting clones for the rest of my grow but i think i'll only get a few and try to sprout more seeds since i do want to keep this thread as the title implies. well here are some more pics, enjoy...........i'm off to germinate and acquire some clones, lates.

QUICK UPDATE!!!
well im germinating five more seeds of chrystal x bagseed. hopefully those take off. i bought a seeds starter kit to put the seeds in after they sprout from germination. i had one but misplaced it that's why i was using the ziplock bags with rockwool cubes. the seed that did sprout and have currently in dirt, is doing good, i'll have pictures of that either tomorrow or the day after.

i bought a clone from a local dispensary. it was funny because when i called asking if they had clones they told me they had mercury og. when i got there, the other guy told me it was jupiter og. i was like okkkaaaayyyyyyy. i didn't bother questioning it, chances were they didn't know what genetics it had anyways, apart from the og. so i'm just going to call it the clone . i'll have pics of this soon as well.

the flowering plant is scheduled to be chopped down this friday. keeps getting frostier still, but i don't know if i can wait any longer after friday. if i still see more trichome development during late this week, i'll try to sustain myself and let it go a few days longer .

yes, i know i'm lagging it with the pics. i'll take some later today when i get home. both the clone(mercury OG) and the only seed that sprouted are doing great! haven't checked the seeds that are currently germinating so i'll take a look at that and see if anything has sprouted yet. the flowering plant is doing good, i'll take some pics of that too later on so keep posted. lates
