Cigarette smoke safe

I guess this sub forum is the most appropriately place to discuss this issue. When I stepped in my closet tonight, and smoked a cigarette; my PPM meter went from a 30 minute previous & consistently of 650 to a whopping 880 at about halfway through the cigarette. The closet is only 3x5x8. I don't think my PPM Meter measures anything but the CO2 saturation, and there's no question in my mind that my burning cigarette releases CO2. Is there anything harmful in the immediate cigarette smoke that might hurt a plant?

A friend of mine mentioned that cigarettes are only safe to smoke in your grow room if they have been previously frozen? Any merit?

My grow box is in my basement which is also my smoke room lol. Its a pretty big room but our poker table and everything is down there. We smoke Hash, grass and cigs in there and my plants are growing fine. I dont amagine its HEALTHY for them... but it doesnt seem to make a difference?

I quickly read that article. But ya.. i've never had any issues. We smoke on a regular basis weed and cigs in my basement which has my growbox. And no problems. Mind u its my first grow so i dont have much to compare it to. But i see growth everyday on my babies.

good call; I think that if it hurt at all, there would need to be more smoke than some realize; but i'm sure it's somewhat harmful, just not to a huge extent. Well the 880 PPM was vented out a long time ago

I read that you better wash your hands before handling your plants if you smoke because you may be risking exposing the girls to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV).

all plants use co2 to make glucose (food) its the other chemicals in the cigg that would have an effect the stuff added in to the tobacco also nicotine is a poison.

Cigarettes if smoked excessively around your plants will clog their leaves pores and will not breathe as healthy. This is importand for CO2 intake and O2 release. My 2 cents but I may be wrong. Oh, and about that comment on a virus caused by nicotine, that only happens with unprocessed tabacco. Cigarettes are processed and are unlikely going to damage your plants in that manner. Good luck.

it might be possible that the co2 has a positive effect that offsets the negative effect of the poisonous chemicals in the ciggs

plants contantly exhale thought there leaves this will clear up any advers clogging done by the ciggs, and ciggs are only bad to humans because we smoke fore years those plants will be harvested in less then 4 months and your not in there all day smoking 24hr and if so you have an intake +outtake fans and even smoking was really bad to plants which there not there is to much fresh air coming in before you and after you. you said smokeing in there increased the co2 ppm by 200 thats great and if i where you i would smoke in there all the time which i do the plants are smart they take what they need my smoke room is my man cave no one is alowed in there but me and thats the only place in the house my wife lets me smoke and i smoke alot weed and cigs usely my blunt of the day and then a cig but thats realy it

cigerettes are ganjahz sworn enemy if you step in your closet again with that stick in your lips the plant will destroy it....and could hurt your face in the process

it also could be possible that plants aren't susceptible to the same poisons that humans are ? im mean look at all the shit thats in the air and plants are still thriving just fine
