Clone care survival

I'm confused on clone care. How long can a mother plant or a clone grow. Does it stay in vegetated state always? I don't think there ever green.
I get very few seeds off my fem regular. This was the first summer I harvested my own female reg seeds, Not bad
Trying to decide if keeping a mother over the long run would work

People keep mothers for multiple years in a row. Obviously a great amount of training and planning is involved.

Feed the mother as you would a vegging plant. You have to prune them so they don't get overgrown. I don't keep mom's, personally, but I'm sure there are people on here that do. Also, as much as people hate it, search youtube and Google.

Interesting I do a bonsai on one my flowers. Would help with maintaining size
