Okay a super duper nub at cloning I have an awesome strain growing in my producer endless sky and I want to clone them. I had to wait till flowering to make sure they were all females.

I dipped cut and sliced the stem and dipped them in rootmax. I could not find any without flowers so it is what it is.

Power clone and aquashield came with the set up should I use other nutes or just them?

Lastly it's 18/6 right? I have to pick up a timer for lights thank god they are cheap. I am only using t-12's they were free so figured why not.

In any event it's not the greatest set up but I could really use some feedback.

Please and thank you.

Oh yeah here is a link to my grow in case anyone is interested. https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/282519-producer-round-4-a.html

Looks pretty good. I personally recommend doing 24/0 for light with clones. Taking them in flowering works but they can tak a LONG time to root. Be patient. I cloned a bud that was about 7 weeks in and it worked! Best of luck my friend. :weed:

Thanks doc I have 30 days till the ones in the producer are done. Once the clones root should I add anything else to get them to grow? I want to get it down so I can go without veg and go straight to flowering, that should help me have a crop every two months.

all sounds fine, i keep mine under 24/0 as do lots of people but i dont really see why 18/6 shouldnt be ok. clones from flowering plants are gonna root faster but then they need to re-vert to veg so it will seem like they stall out. just stick with em

As soon as they are rooted you can start feeding them. Start them off slowly. I usually feed 1/2 strength nutes to start off and work up slowly from there.;-)

plain ph'd water with a lil superthive til they grow roots, some like olivia's cloning solution or clonex. it's a very weak nute solution

I agree on switching the light to 24/0 . And also using T12 bulbs i would keep them as close as possible. They can touch and won't burn the plant. But i would keep them an inch or two at least. Luminosity on those bulbs are really low so closer is better....but they will work fine ......also i've switched a plant back to veg growth and it takes like two months before you see any new leafs.....But if it's a great strain it's worth it! :joint:

I use T12 shoplights for rooting clones. I don't see the point in purchasing T5's or HID's for rooting clones. You can do it but you have to keep the light so far away it's like, what's the point?:weed:

I agree ...i use the T8's...the fixture is $12 and the bulbs are 2 for $6 at walmart....I think the lumen' s are a little higher with T8 than T12..and about the same price?
