Clone Problem

so this is exactly what i have done.. i took a clone split the bottom of the stem. roughed up the sides of it.. dipped and swirled in Olivia cloning gel. put it in a rapid rooter root cube.. with a huminity dome.. and that all sits under 30 watts, of T8 florescent in 4100k. i did the same with 7 clones.. and.. 3 took roots the others are still in there.. going on a week and a half. the three that rooted did it in a week. once they rooted i put them in some happy frog soil. and put them under two 27w 5500k bulbs.. and this is what happed.. with one. of them.. the other two are.. fine.. and whats going on with the leafs.. can you clone fan leafs? it said i could clone leafs on the bottle.. so i was like eh.. what the hell..

I've cloned, and successfully rooted a fan leaf, a 7 set to be exact. I kept it alive, feeding it very little, and for about a half year, it did nothing but be a leaf....

When you clone, you have to ensure that your "baby" has a strong enough root system, before transplanting into a soil as rich as Fox Farms Happy Frog. Also, trimming your fan leaves (cutting each finger in about half) will prevent the clone from trying to suck up all the available light without having the roots to convert the energy.

My suggestions for you are as follows:
-water your plant with plain water, ph'd to 6.2-6.4
*once your foliage begins to healthen up, introduce about a 1/4 strength nutrient solution.
-Clone when you have larger branches. the larger and healthier your cuts, the easier the clone process.
-Feed your plants a few days before you clone, to ensure the clones will have enough food energy for the process.
-Keep an eye out on your foliage, it will always tell you what the roots are like

I have never heard of cloning fan leaves, I'm about 99% sure you cant, because a fan leaf isnt a growing shoot, it has no nodes.
The sick clone you have looks like you may have transfered it to soon, it will probably make it, maybe put a dome back over it.
