Clone root length turbo kloner

Hey guys. I was wondering does it really matter how long a clone's initial Root(s) get? I keep reading at least 3", I'm using aeroponic method. The roots on it are short but several bursting out the side. I'm just wondering does it really matter how long the roots are if it has a nice root presence?

Ive planted them at one root like one inch and brown hence planting asap. It grew just like the ones with 5” long roots. I learned that they try to pull up water immediately.

So up to you if you want to make them work harder. Was told by seasoned growers they never got a beards like youll see time to time. I almost got one.

I moved back to root riot plugs though. Idk why aero suddenly quit working for me.
