I have a problem! My clones has now been under the light about 10 days and no roots coming at all. i used root hormon but i didnt hurt the tips of the branches. Check out this pictures
Well i cut them with 45 degree angle and also im not pulling them out just 1 of them only for test.Well they look pretty good for 10 days with no roots. Give it time....
Next time... don't cut the stem straight across..... it should be cut at a 45 degree angle to allow more of the inside stem to be exposed for root growth.
P.S. Stop pulling them out of the cubes to check because that's not helping them either
My mothers are about 35 days old and i started take clones soon after i took them out from 4 days 12/12 to see females.High CG, can you answer some/all of the below to help folks diagnose your problem?
What strain are your mothers?
What age are your mothers?
What date did you take your cuttings?
Which brand of rooting hormone?
Can you provide a brief description of your method?
From your photos/images I can see that you are using the large Grodan style cubes. Did you know that it will take slightly longer for the roots to grow and reach the sides or bottom of your cubes compared to using smaller types of cube?
Are your cuttings in a propagator? It is important that you keep your humidity high and and the propagation environment quite warm in order to create the right situations for your clones to root.
Keeping your cubes damp will be more or less automatic when using a humid propagator, which will help things along.
What kind of lighting do you use? I find that a 125W CFL of the blue/6400K spectrum will provide enough usable energy for roots to form in you propagator environment. For me this can be anywhere between 9 and 25 days depending upon a few details. i.e. size of cutting, foliar spraying/feeding in propagator, temperatures max/min, and other factors.
Hope the above gives you something to think about. Keep it Growing!!
so u suggest me to wait more and more? can it be light problem?looks like they were kinda far along into flower( 1-2 weeks in)....i have some that looked exactly like your clones....the ones i took right before flower rooted faster than the one i took right after flower...yours look like the one i took last( about 1 week and a half into flower)....I do mine in water....its 0$ cost and eay to see growth.....I wouldnt worry tho...on average my waterclones didnt root til about 10 days....and were strong enough to transplant to soil in about 14-17 days.....its still early for you....the ones takin from flower can take a long time to convert back into veg.....im 5 for 6 in water....with the last cutting still waiting to root.....
well im not sprying them too often imo. but i try!the big one was right before flower..the small two were a couple days after flower from another girl....and i have one later in flower that hasnt rooted yet....looks like yours...there my first...
Mate i have done that all, and i know how to clone, but right now im analyzing the problem what i made in beginning! I didnt scratch those stem tips, thats why im now asking what should i do? should i scratch them now after 2 weeks or just wait?Go to youtube.com type in marijuana cloning. Watch some of these videos, read the grow faq's and take what you have learned and go from there. I have seen quite a few different ways to do it.
Well i cut them with 45 degree angle and also im not pulling them out just 1 of them only for test.
I think i dont got enought light.
Well really i cut them 45degree im 100% sure of it. but only mistake was that i didnt hurt them. 5 of 24 clones are now going yellow.Sorry Charlie but the picture of your cut stem does not look like a 45 degree cut (picture could be deceiving). I actually cut mine at more then 45 degrees. The bigger the angle cut the more inside stem exposed, the better for root growth.
For now..... are the plants still green and perky? If they are then they are still surviving, taking in water through the leaves and trying to grow roots.... let them be.
If however, they are turning yellow and starting to get droopy then they are starting to die. If that's the case then I'd think you have nothing to lose by pulling them up and giving the stem a nice fresh cut and some more rooting hormone.
IDK... just my 2 cents... good luck
you put your clones under a 400w hps....???? I think that might be a problem if theyre barely rooting...once they root you can use the 400w......remember roots dont require light.... you want to root... and then give them light.....i also dont think the 45 degree angle has to be precise... i just cut mine at angle...and all of mine rooted....except for one....i would advice you too water clone next time....and just puttem in the window sill.....you should see my clones there awesome..... and i didnt have to buy a damn thing....Well really i cut them 45degree im 100% sure of it. but only mistake was that i didnt hurt them. 5 of 24 clones are now going yellow.
I put all of them 12/12 under 400w HPS and potted those cubes. So lets see if some of them die then i take them out and put new clones.
