Clones: Perlite to Soil

My buddy put his clones in a red dixie cup with perlite. I can't see if the roots are forming so I'll just have to guess, I assume.

Anyway, how should I go about transplanting them from perlite to soil?

Do I pull the clone from the perlite and dig a little hole in the soil and drop it in? The problem is, I feel like the perlite will just crumble anyway if I try to extract the whole thing, right? Also I don't want to jam the new roots into the soil hole without some sort of protection (ie the perlite around the root system).

Sp how do I do I go about transplanting from 100% perlite to a soil pot?

cut the bottom off of the cup and place the cup into the new soil hope that helps m8

Figured as much, but I was just checking. Funny thing is, I ran into the HB method right after posting. Should have just deleted this thread seeing as my question was answered in one of the huge HB threads. Needless to say, I'm going soilless now.
