few question, i have a 10'x9' with a 8 1/2' ceiling flower room with 4-1000hps, i also have a 12'x7' with a 7' 1/2' ceiling for veg, im putting 2-4'-6 bulb T5 in the veg. a scrog grow is what i been thinking. i also want to start a perpetual harvest. how many plants, and what technique would maximize my space and yield? next question is i have a buddy with mother plants, and able to keep me supplied with as many as i need and as often as i need them. what would be a fair percent of harvest for supplying me with all of my clones? i have 2 outdoor and 2 indoor under my belt, but still very new to growing and trying learn. thanks.

Your going to need a lot more veg lighting to support 4k watts of hps in a perpetual harvest.
LST is always the answer to maximize an indoor grow efficiency.
Your buddy sounds to be all set with pot supply, maybe figure an alternative method of payment? Hash or oil, maybe?

He looking for percent of harvest, he smokes flower only. he has no room to do a complete grow but i keep as many clones as i need. What would you recommend i should veg with on a budget.

You mentioned scrog and perpetual harvest. It’s going to be one or the other. Learn topping and supercropping to control height and shape instead of thinking scrog.

This just sounds weird. Not much of a buddy if he's asking for a percentage of your harvest for just supplying a few clones.
I'd recommend a 3x3 tent and complete a grow or two before tossing money out the window.

45 clones comfortably fit into a 4x4 tray, flowering small 8ish inch clones in 6inch square pots filled with hydroton or rocks or coco in a flood and drain style grow or even a top feed will give you the highest yield per square foot with the least amount of veg time.
I did this for 10+ years and averaged 20+ g per plant on low yielders, and 30g per plant on higher-yielding cultivars with only 2 weeks veg on the clones to get nice strong roots in the pots.
If you have 4 1k lights you can have 4 trays easily and put then all on a cycle about 3 weeks apart. So every 3 weeks you are harvesting plants and putting new clones into flower. With the amount of space you have I wouldn't fuck with getting clones from your buddy. Its easy enough to keep some mother plants and take clones and it looks like you have more then enough space to do that.

yes i have a budget, i started with 1 1000hps light, upgraded last 2 harvests, now i just finished rebuilding a 10x10 for my 4-1000hps, i
and a 7x12 veg room. i have alot expenses especially when i restart it. im looking for my best idea for veg lights for 7x12 to veg least 24 clones.

i dont see whats wierd, he supply me with as many clones as i need as often as i need them to get and keep a perpectual grow going at least until i get grow up an running i will cut my own, this will help me start my grow now without waiting on seeds, and spending cash on at least 16 clones. i rather give him couple oz. thats also all he does, he has mother plants and clones.
i am starting with 16 clones in veg, training, supercropping them topping them fim them, then i put 8 into floweroom under trellis let them fill out, 2weeks later i will put other 8 into flower under another trellis. i have 2 trellis setup 5'x9' both under 2-1000hps, and i will replace each set of 8 same day as moved. i have a 10x10 flowerroom, and a 7x12 veg room.

Sounds like win-win. I do like to barter for goods and services. Caution mixing buddy and business. Should come to an agreement and close the deal rather than trade for clones now for stake in future harvest. uhhh I screwed up and lost our crop...
Good idea, i gotten them on an off in past, last 8 he gave me he asked for quarter total.

Pests and disease always come to mind whenever I introduce foreign material into my grow environment. Definitely prefer aeroponics rooted clone over soil.
