clones

I am using a bubble cloner for the first time i have had success using rock wool
I put clones in 2 weeks ago and am not seeing roots what I do have is a slimy sacrifice around the stems that r in water
I use ro water added cal mag to 300 ppm and 5.8 ph have aquarium heaters set to 78 they r under the same 40w florescents that I have always used for cloning

Use clean ro water no nutes, don't let the roots toutch the water keep a "air gap". Use rooting hormone and slightly heat the water. Pictures will help

So the stems aren't suppose to touch the water?
